Re: [0.17] Holding tags issues

The discussion in https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20439 might shed some light into it. There are 2 options as I see it: 1) you can add the feedrate back into each Command from the active tool controller 2) you can add a command that sets the feedrate, and fix the post processor to...

[0.17] Holding tags issues

I'm trying to make the holding tags work with the new tool controllers, and I'm close, I think: the way it's done in master currently leads to an AttributeError when trying to export the gcode; with https://github.com/m0n5t3r/FreeCAD/commit/70560eac8e92831b275abbef977214533e806031 it generates gcode...

Re: pocketing problem

You have not properly constrained Sketch011 under Pocket009. You made a common mistake when constraining arcs: using a coincident constraint along with a tangent constraint on the objects. You should only use a tangent constraint between their end points , and nothing else. Using a coincident const...

[0.17] pocketing problem

Hi all I'm getting an annoying issue with a thing I'm (re)designing (because the original mysteriously broke when I changed the spindle radius): the last pocket results in an all-black model and broken mesh output: Screenshot from 2017-04-15 21-30-30.png the original somehow works (almost identical,...

Re: Solving problems with linux_cnc post with wrong feed rate

Yes, that was the issue, I poked around in the freecad console and the other files and found out how to get the Job object of a path; take a look at https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/660/files This bug resulted in an inadvertent stress test on my mpcnc: I'm still learning how to use it, and fe...

Re: Solving problems with linux_cnc post with wrong feed rate

I made it use the job unit system and created a pull request: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/660

Re: Helix machining for circular holes

Those prompts would be appropriate since the operation has no way of knowing which tool controller to use. I got that, but I think I'm adding the tool controller to the wrong object somewhere, because the selection dialog pops up every time I want to edit the PathHelix (and if adding with multiple ...

Re: Helix machining for circular holes

Right now, it doesn't work with freecad-daily : Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/freecad-daily/Mod/Path/PathScripts/PathHelix.py", line 472, in Activated toolLoad = PathUtils.getLastToolLoad(obj) 'module' object has no attribute 'getLastToolLoad' Can I get some comments on https://g...

Re: previously good file looks all weird

Can you point me in the general direction of what I need to change? I already figured that the fcstd files are zip archives with a bunch of binary files and an XML one inside, I guess the problem is in the XML, right? in the worst case scenario I'll reverse engineer the mesh files to get by dimensio...
