DO215 originated by Cesare Milani

A quick 3D redo of Capt. Cesare Milanis DO215 plan from 1956. Some minor faults can be observed which are probably due to scanning the original plan. A finnboard skeleton has been build according to the original plan. Fun time with FC and a laser cadder ... Do215_1.png Do215_2.png Do215_3.png Do215_...

Re: VIIC 1:45 modell

The hull with two Layers of Nylon, results in approx. 0.8mm thickness. The hull itseld is so stiff you could use as a racket. Cutout for the ventilation inlets worked as planned. Pls note that only black and amber nylons will work for a sub, not the pink ones. IMG_20190406_135117.jpg IMG_20190406_13...

Re: VIIC 1:45 modell

What a day. One of those "good, bad and ugly" ones. Good: Body separator finished. Vertical and horizontal bars are giving a snug fit of the two sections. No need for screws and stuff. Worked as designed. 8-) Bad: Bow and Aft section 2°degrees out of line. Lesson learned here. When building a skelet...

"Marriage" of bow and aft section. Conning tower protoype. Front rudder steering holder finished.
Btw is this thread of any interest to you ? Just asking because it has not much more to do with FC but building. Let me know.

Re: VIIC 1:45 modell

Cutting of the "vacer" logo. Pls note that you may get a _little_ bit of ashes on top when the first cut doesn't get through whereas on the bottom side there should only be hardly noticable traces of _smoke_ patterns but no ash deposits. The ash/smoke pattern on top of the material is due to a vent ...
