Handbook of Geometric Constraint Systems Principles

Share with interested developers. John Owen co-authored a chapter, he was the creator of the solver licensed by Siemens and used by most commercial CAD software.

Hi Realthunder. Just wonder when your next release of Assembly 3 is expected and is there going to be a merge with 0.19 or is it staying as a fork at least for the near term? Thank you.

This seems to belong to Sketcher's solver. Read https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 22#p274416 about solver details.
Great! Thanks Chris. Could you merge this into the tread you mentioned?

Comparison of 3d modeling software

I found the following university report that evaluated 3 CAD software systems: FreeCAD, Solidworks and Kompas-3D. Of course FreeCAD has advanced over the version used in this 2017 evaluation but reading the report could still prove useful. The Mechanical Engineering department used the report to pic...

I have them pretty much ready, just got an email that the daily-build in my own PPA failed because Ship and Plot WB were disabled, so the automatism seems to be working OK, just gotta update things and push it to the official PPA.
Great. Thanks
