Re: Project faces onto bended surface

Thanks for your feedback. I will have a look during the week why edges are missing. to 1. --> parametric would be a very cool addition. Can someone point me to a forum topic or a how to where i can find info to make it parametric? to 2. --> When i started i decided to just go on a single face. Reaso...

Re: shadows in the freecad viewport

In the FreeCAD core system we have the command to render in different draw styles (no shading, wireframe, ...) and we could add it there. However, at the moment the shadow function is a bit unrealistic because when you move or rotate the model then the shadow follows which means that the light sour...

Re: Photo-realistic rendering of FreeCAD models with CADRays

Do you have a link where you found your information on how cadrays works? Nop, I just used the videos shown by easyw-fc just before. It's sad that the product was just a demo from openCascade. It has a great potential but there is almost no docs... A lot of small things should also be corrected or ...

Re: New libpacks for Windows with Qt5.12, OCC7.3 and Python 3.6 by apeltauer

I'm interested in using freecad alongside my existing python stuff which is currently using Python 3.7. Is there a compelling reason why freecad 0.19 is being built against 3.6 instead of 3.7? Thanks! Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question. We had trouble with python 3.7. Some errors oc...

Re: Building Libs for Windows Debug Version with VS2017/Qt5.12

What works for me is creating the files python36.zip and python36_d.zip whose content is everything underneath Python's Lib directory but without the site-packages stuff because Python cannot load extension modules from a zip file anyway (at least in the past) and put them into the LibPack's bin di...
