Re: Not possible to add a tool controller

Could you be a bit more precise? I have no idea what to do... mfg I have managed to replicate the issue. I will get it fixed as soon as I can. As a workaround you should be able to create a tool in the tooltable from an older version of FreeCAD. The version you are using should then work. I have on...

I'm not able to start the tool controller at all.

mfg
If you have any, Please could you send me your tooltable data from the parameters editor?

I'm not at my machine but it's something like:

Tools menu-> Edit Parameters->BaseApp ->Preferences ->Mod ->Path

Re: Not possible to add a tool controller

I've been doing a fair bit of work on the tooltable.

I will have a look at this error as soon as I can.

Can you create new tools through the tool table and then add them to the job?

Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation

What would it take to swap the G1 moves for G2 or G3 arc moves? Although curves produced by the alg. are not actually arcs, in many cases they could probably be approximated with arcs (within some tolerance) and I guess that number of output points would decrease significantly with that. To make th...

Cycle times are fairly close to camotics. With a bit of refinement this should be OK!!

Re: Approximate/rough guess of milling time

Run your machine? That's the way I do it. I always trust The Maschiiine Oh and first of all: super cool man, thanks! Testing on a machine is the best test method however it's not that practical if you need to test lots of variations. I tried using camotics but the cycle time calculation seems...

Re: Approximate/rough guess of milling time

I've made a start on a very basic cycle time calculation:

Anyone recommend any tools to use for comparison?

I want to be able to engrave arbitrary shapes - such as borders
Unless I have misunderstood (highly likely), You should be able to do that now.

You can selected edges for the engrave operation.

Can you share your file?
