Re: Can't seem to get gcode that works...

So even Mach 3 shows garbage in the same file the same way that Metacut and NC Plot do - see screenshot. I've done thousands of jobs using Visual Mill, I can't reproduce this issue. Please could you post your FreeCAD info. You can find under help->about FreeCAD and then click the 'copy to clipboard...

Re: Path for Milling is Starting Below the Model

I was trying to do a very basic milling on my CNC machine. I made a part and then created a path job for it. However when i try to make the job, it keeps placing the start of the operation below the model. I can not find a way to get it to start at the top. I am very new at working in FreeCAD, but ...

Re: [MERGED] Approximate/rough guess of milling time

It currently displays 'Cycle time error', it should probably be left blank if there are no operations. Can't you just add something like?: if len(commands) == 0: return 0 of course. We need to find all these issues before I can fix them, thats just an example of the first one I have spotted. Thanks...

[MERGED] Approximate/rough guess of milling time

This is now merged. ping Chris please could you update the subject to '[MERGED] Approximate/rough guess of milling time'? Are...you...kidding!!! I would welcome some heavy testing to refine this a bit before 0.19 is released. First thing that needs fixing is the cycle time value at the job level whe...

Re: new compiler warning in pathpyimp.cpp

After 8adadcf2c I get now this compilation warning: Could you please have a look? This is a silly oversight in the python declaration: PyObject* PathPy::getCycleTime(PyObject * args) { double hFeed, vFeed, hRapid, vRapid; if (PyArg_ParseTuple(args, "dddd", &hFeed, &vFeed, &hRapid, &vRapid)){ return...

Select the op in the tree. Top of your screen "path" menu, "dressup" menu, "tag dressup".
Beat me to it! :D

Re: Is there a way to create tabbing on a profile?

Looks like you want a TAG dressup:

Path ->Path Dressup-> Tag Dress-up

Re: Can't set tool manager units

Yep that was it... thanks!! I owe you a beer. I'm a Visual Mill Pro user but used freecad for years for things like conversion of STL's to solids. I use Solidworks for modeling. I recently saw that Freecad had toolpath generator and been trying it out. It's not bad... You are very welcome. I hope y...
