Re: CAM simulation for the Path Workbench

Hi Shai, I'm still figuring things out myself, so no problem. Under the Path-WB, Path-Menu, all the Path Operations are available: Path-Dressup: 1. DogBone-Dress-up: Modifies Contour Cuts to over-cut the corners. 2. DragKnife-Dress-up: I don't know how this one works, but believe it's used for foam ...

@JoshM

Yes, its diameter-#Tooth-cutting_length-intended_material
I use this scheme for end mills.
Face mills and bullnose mills start with a textual label.

This is just works-for-me stuff ;)

Thank you @Throsten--appreciate your perspective and experience!

Re: CAM simulation for the Path Workbench

Hi Shai, I hadn't thought to try that before, but when I did try it just now, the Pause works fine during the FF/Computation stage. It seems like it's on the playback side of things... It's a minor thing really. Have you had any thoughts on whether it's feasible to add in the Path-Dressup, and Path-...

Re: CAM simulation for the Path Workbench

If I slow it to 2G/s it's more responsive--enough to catch it within a second or two. If it's even up at 10G/s, it's non-responsive. The Speed-Bar is a bit more responsive, so at the moment, the workaround is to grab that, move it as far left as possible, then hit pause/stop... That said, it's so fr...

Re: CAM simulation for the Path Workbench

Hi Shai,
I hadn't run into this before--hadn't tried Stopping, or Pausing, but tried it today and they weren't responsive for me. Are they in progress, or is it a thread-priority type of thing?
Best,
Josh

Re: Toolcontroller GUI Bug

Thorsten,
May I ask your naming convention for your Tool-Controller. I'm assuming that's an 8mm diameter, 25mm cut-length. Is ALU a coating, or intended material? Do you separate between tool styles in your names? I ask because I'm trying to determine best approach for myself.

Best,
Josh

Re: Inconsistencies in SetupSheet

Great point about returning to Default after overwriting Thorsten--I've run up against that too. Appreciate the breakdown mlampert. I've wondered about the intended use. I've been using Rapid Speed fields. I use Operation-Start-Depth field and set it for the height I face to, leaving that operation,...

Path just improved for me!

I was having a lot of trouble on semi-complex models using Path, and spent hours yesterday on V0.17595 trying to isolate what was exacerbating things. I didn't have success. Today I saw there was a new version, which I downloaded, and found it works VERY nicely for me now. I don't have issues with F...

I like Herb's suggestion for Select-All button. Is there a way to manually reorder the Drill/Helix Operation?

Re: GCode Error generated in Pocket_3D operation.

Thanks Chris--no problem. And, agreed on the amazing work done here by the Development team! I hope my feedback is helpful. I'm actively using this for work so have the opportunity to really work with the software tools. My duties at work have also involved testing our software over the last couple ...
