Re: Units for feedrate

Thanks Sliptonic. My preference is the small parts and CNC you referenced. I'll try to better articulate it better: if I'm using the Custom-Operation to add GCode, the behavior--on my configuration at least--is different than for other Path-Operation commands, where the Feed-Rate is defined in the T...

Re: GCode Error generated in Pocket_3D operation.

Thanks Mlampert. I'll dig into that Monday when I'm back at work. I appreciate your help. I did successfully mill my mold on 2nd try--not bad for developmental software that's free. I'm really appreciative of the work you all have done. Right now it's a bit loose, but ultimately workable, and the im...

Re: Units for feedrate

I just ran into this and am a bit confused. To get around issues with Facing operation in later versions, I am using: OS: Windows 10 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.17.12431 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: master Hash: c397aee9ed3efcb2e33fa719313c98cc4867cf32 Python...

GCode Error generated in Pocket_3D operation.

Hi, I just generated a job and ran it, and found the issues I'd missed with simulation. I tracked down the issue and found I could reproduce it reliably on my system. I was working on an older version () but checked on latest version and found it remains there as well, so thought I'd mention it. Wha...

Re: Facing Operation?

I'm at work again and able to look at the files further. I should have been clearer about a couple of things: 1. If I select the Face operation I am able to select the Tool-Controller, and then before I get the dialogue for the Face Operation it goes into perpetual calculation mode where I get a spi...

Re: Facing Operation?

That file works for me too--not so much the other attachment though...

I gave it about five minutes on the more complex model and got nothing--how long for you?

Thanks for your response.

Facing Operation?

Hi, I'm having trouble getting a Facing Operation to work with a model that I generated. When I select the FACING operation, FC just hangs up--unless I back up to Version: 0.17.12431(Git) (493+ have same issue...). I am able to use a DRILL operation with no issue. I created a simpler model, and that...

Re: Spreadsheet Insert Rows breaks linked equations

Thanks for the responses and fix. I'm sorry that I am unable to test because I'm not able to compile, rather have been using Windows 64b executable versions that have been posted. I'm more of a driver than a mechanic with Freecad, but I do try to provide feedback where possible for those of you doin...

Re: Spreadsheet Insert Rows breaks linked equations

Thanks for the replies. I am using the Alias function, so that shouldn't be at issue. I did look at it again, after seeing these responses, and note that it's not as "across the board" as I initially thought. That is, some insertions seem to cause errors, where others do not. I am not sure why that ...
