### Re: 2.5D tube lasercutting ; how to draw?

Perhaps you already know this but I want to write it just in case it will help you: As a workaround to your problem I can inform that there are tube laser cutters nowadays that have tilting laser beam so you do not have to make the cut perpendicular to the surface of the pipe to be able to manufact...

### Re: 2.5D tube lasercutting ; how to draw?

I have thought it over With help of your tips, meme2704, I tried something with actually works as in reality. Using a cone upside down and tilted under an angle (if you look from the side, one of the sides of the cone will be vertical). But getting the right angle is undoable. Then I tried to make a...

with Fc, is not possible to make the form "flat"
With Sheetmetal Wb no longer because the cut is in the rolled part, it causes a crash when we want to use the Unbend function

### Re: 2.5D tube lasercutting ; how to draw?

meme2704; thanks for your approach! I like the way you did this. It leads the way to solvation. But have the feeling your approach is not 100% correct... I could be wrong. but I am not sure... It is hard to explain... :x You have created a cutout piece with a curve on a flat plane, but the real plan...

### Re: 2.5D tube lasercutting ; how to draw?

I have two questions: Is there a good reason why you still use FreeCAD 0.16? There are so many enhancements and bugfixes that I strongly recommend to upgrade. I'm not familiar with lasercutters, but if you talk about rotating the tube, isn't that beyond 2.5D, where you move essentially in the XY pl...

### 2.5D tube lasercutting ; how to draw?

Hi, I want to create an angled slot in a hollow tube. To make it worse: An opposite angled slot is also necessary... The blue pin needs to travel thought the slot on both sides of the tube... :geek: I would like to draw it exactly if the cutout has been done using a tube lasercutting machine, with t...

### Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

A new release of A2plus is out. Whats new ? - support for relative/absolute pathes of imported parts - selectable on preferences page - conversion tool from absolute pathes to relative ones Have fun ! :D Great! I am following this thread with great interest, obviously, but what is the purpose of th...

### Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Unfortunately also A2 is not functional 100% either, especially adapting angle constraints lead to unjustified constraint faillure I know you also have certain problems with angles constraints (something with avoiding 0°or 180°). Just to show you this problem with A2. Maybe it helps with solving th...

### Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

I think here you used the "deleteConstraints" button. If it kills parts, this is a bug. I will look for next time. I did not use the "deleteConstraints" button. I used the delete button on my keyboard. Maybe, if parts accidently have been removed... At first, be sure nothing additional been selecte...

### Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

@Turro75: describes exactly what I noticed 8-) And I tumbled over something new... And it worries me. I am assembling some parts in an assembly; importing and assembling is going smooth and simple, great! I love it! Then I noticed that one of the assembled parts needs some adjustments. I make the ad...
