Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Find a bugfix v0.1.1 release on github for this error. Please update A2plus... I will be offline for perhaps 2 or 3 days. Next bug, you found, i will work on later. Update done: https://github.com/kbwbe/A2plus/releases/tag/v0.1.1 and now it seems right, thanks!! :D Then I tried to get the part to i...

For that i suggest to give an assambly file a different extension, - like "example.fcasm". With that a user can see "this is a asm file" before open it and protect for working with the wrong file type.
Solid Works uses the same protocol.

If possible or not: Brilliant idea :!: :!:

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

I am so very patient... :D And now I found another bug, sorry... The following happens: I call the file "Alu_profiel 30x15x3_ 150 " and save it. When I add this file in A2P the file is known as: "Alu_profiel 30x15x3_ 001 ". What happended to my "150"? This effect happens if I create a part us...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Ok. Here's that file. I also added the file which was converted. I also noticed that after conversion the part and corresponding sketch are on the same level in the tree... It looks like if the sketch does not belong anymore to the part... :?: A2p is not intended to be used an a single part documen...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi Koemi, if you put e.g. a fastener from fasteners WB to A2plus file, at first moment it is no correct A2p import part. You can select the new fastener, hit the "convert" button and the fastener turns to be a A2p part. From this point on, you can correctly set constraints to it and do all usual A2...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

You don't need any part to be converted to A2plus at all. Just import parts via the A2plus WB into a new file as an assembly file and constrain them. Manuel Ok. Thanks Manuel. This takes some worries away. Because I use a fresh A2Plus AND a fresh FC_V0.17 I think the rest of my questions are more l...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Messing around in the 'new world' of FC V0.17 and A2Plus ;) I am a bit puzzled... Now there seems to be a new A2Plus part container ('the yellow stairs' I should call it I guess), but... why? I can produce parts with the Partdesign WB; I can save them and I can put them inside an assembly. And now I...

i always struggle with these orientations too. I am nearly always wrong. I think, some normals of faces have unexpected directions.
Need to check Face.Orientation? If Orientation is "Reversed", the normal will point in the opposite direction.
Ehr.... What?

Re: A2 & A2Plus: - or + offset between parts

Hi Koemi, i always struggle with these orientations too. I am nearly always wrong. I think, some normals of faces have unexpected directions. I was searching for other posts about this issue and could not find any :?: And I also have the feeling that I am nearly always wrong. Maybe that someo...
