Re: Assembly3 preview

Regarding to #2, I'm convinced that it can not be done unless some scripting is involved, so it should be left out of ASM3 context. Thanks for the answers, I'm moving forward. You could/should use Spreadsheet workbench to drive the dimensions in a logical way. No scripting required, if I understand...

Re: Assembly3 preview

This is cause by FC's labeling policy. The default is no duplicate label in the same document. It will auto re-label by appending digits. So it is better not to end your object label with digit, or else you'll get confusing re-label. You can change that policy using Preference->General->Document->A...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Hi Realthunder and the team, I cannot wait to test 0.8! Specifically the multiplication of the constraints looks impressive. In the meanwhile, I have some reports regarding previous version. Shred it if it's already fixed :-). 1) Dropping part into assembly Parts container gets (sometimes) wrong lab...

Re: Assembly3 preview

I set on to test the constraints of grid and cubes (bases) as per your suggestion (@realthunder) with the 25 links. However, I found out, that in the scenario I created, it is not possible to select same objects (lines, faces,...) on different links at the same time . I don't know what's different f...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Using sketch lines is the easiest way, or you can try SketchExport , which allows you to export sketch points and construction lines. You probably should also create a circle for easy locking of the sketch. I'll try that, might be a good way to enhance such a work flow. Plane alignment can accept m...

Re: Assembly3 preview

I do not know if I answer your problem, but here is my interpretation : Hello jpg, yes, it is a valid answer I suppose and reasonable in some cases. Though, in the given example, the placement of the cubes by their centre point against grid or sketch is quite an important point. As explained in ano...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Can you please explain how did you add the cubes to the assembly? You have the Cube file, but the "Test Cube" in the assembly parts is not a link... Did you redraw the cubes in the assembly file as well? Yes, it is a link. I guess, that when you set number of link to a value grater then initial 0 (...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Hello Realthunder and the comunity! I have a following simple exercise, where I had a lot of trouble to apply constraints (mostly with stability after adding constraints). Let's have four (N) blocks, which we want to attach to a grid. I created a sketch of four lines. I inserted PartDesignWB.DatumPo...

Re: RESOLVED: Render_Render failed

Yep, I installed it during last FC setup, sensing I might need a "Render" - not realizing that "Raytracing" is the same thing and probably much later release. Yorik's manual doesn't state for which workbench it is made in it's title, though if I paid enough attention to the content, I'd note that he...
