Re: color scale with the values is missing

Sure. I'll test it tomorow with older build and Windows 7 (I think it was working before), but with the Windows 10 and build above, I cannot apply force (icon with ToolTip "Creates a FEM constraint for a force acting on a geometric entity"). Applying fixed geometric contraint works fine, but when I ...

Re: color scale with the values is missing

I'm sorry for my late reply. Apparently, if you move the thread to another thread, replies don't appear in notifications. I'm sorry for confusing the thread and thank you for separating it. I did not provide my FreeCAD versions, because I thought it's just something I missed in the workflow. I'm sor...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Well, when I said screw, I didn't mean to actually use a screw object in the early stage of assembly. I was referring to those holes that are meant for fastening. In asm3, the geometry element requirement of a constraint is very relaxed. A plane can be anything that has an underlying planar surface...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Really? I thought this is supposed to be the most frequently used constraint, you know, when you use screws to assembly stuffs. On the other hand, right now, it is tricky to use two screws to completely fix two planes. You can cheat it by locking the rotation with one plane coincident. I think I sh...

Re: Assembly3 preview

SolveSpace is quite liberal in this regard. It allows both orientations. The solver will find a solution that is closer to the initial condition. So if the plane coincident in asm3 gives you the wrong orientation. Just use part mover to drag and flip it to the other side. That's also why it is bett...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Come to think of it, it is probably worthwhile to add a dedicate 2-plane alignment constraint type. As for the Plane/plane constraint , it may be not that simple to implement it in the Assembly3 the same way as it is in Assembly2 (which is just fine from the workflow point-of-view) and other CADs (...

color scale with the values is missing

Hello and congratulations to the progress. I see a lot has been added to FEM WB. Well, I'm not sure if it's an option or a bug, but I am missing the color scale with the values in the results visualisation, while I can see them in some FEM tutorials. What can I do to display the scale or to debug th...

That looks wrong
That IS the last release from 2018/02/05, I believe - https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD_ ... /tag/0.2.0

Re: Assembly3 preview

As shown in my previous screencast, just replace the two PoinInPlane constraint with PoinPlaneDistance, and set a distance of your desire. In fact, I think you can get what you want with only PoinPlaneDistance constraint, lots of them. Well, as I wrote I tried and soon run into divergence. I tried ...
