Re: test failure with new mac build

Yeah, I'll have to dig deeper. >>> o1 = PathSetupSheet.Create() >>> App.ActiveDocument.recompute() 1 >>> o1.VertRapid = '10 mm/s' >>> o1.HorizRapid = '22 mm/s' >>> o1.SafeHeightOffset = '18 mm' >>> o1.SafeHeightExpression = 'Hugo+Olga' >>> o1.ClearanceHeightOffset = '23 mm' >>> o1.ClearanceHeightExp...

test failure with new mac build

Hey guys, I'm working on upgrading the macOS builds and all tests are passing now except for the following path test. Failure: test01 (PathTests.TestPathSetupSheet.TestPathSetupSheet) Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Users/peter/FreeCAD/build-release/install/FreeCAD.app/Contents/lib/python2...

Re: Topological Naming (another take)

I am interested in topological naming as a developer, but I'm currently trying to get the mac builds ready for the 0.17 release. I'll have time to review your approach in the coming weeks. The question on my mind right now is how your approach fits in with what realthunder is doing and with what ick...

Re: ana(conda) windows packaging

I think sgrogan just meant that you can't create a debug build of freecad with the currently available packages. It is really fustrating having to compile debug versions of every single library, when you usually only need the symbols for freecad. I started to create debug versions of the conda formu...

Re: MacOS: FreeCAD 0.17.12322 Qt5 not starting

That is because that is a new build that worked. I restarted the build right after I saw chrisb's post. There is an actual problem that has been going on for a long time. I don't fully understand it, but sometimes the bundler script fails to find libjpeg that is referenced by some library and exits ...

Re: Compiling on Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.5

Ah, that explains it. I was trying to match the travis ci yosemite environment back when I created the vm, so I have xcode 6.4 installed.

Re: Compiling on Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.5

Glad you got it working. I just tried it on a clean 10.10 vm, but it failed trying to build netcdf which is a dependency of vtk. Did you have any problems installing vtk? What xcode version are you using?

Re: Compiling on Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.5

In addition to setting BUILD_QT5, you also have to add the qt5 cmake prefix to the cmake prefix path. It will also save you a bunch of trouble if you use the freecad formula to install the needed libraries. You need to install qt 5.6 instead of the latest 5.9 because pyside2 does not work with qt 5....

Re: MacOS: FreeCAD 0.17.12322 Qt5 not starting

I found the newest 0.17 build dating from last year The 0.17 builds are uploaded to here: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/tag/0.17_pre . Note that the date of the github release is not updated because the new builds are always uploaded to the same release. Go by the revision of the buil...

Re: Extra python modules: Syntax error when trying to install pyCollada

The commands listed are not python commands and are meant to be run in Terminal instead (indicated by the $ prompt). Open the Terminal app and enter the following commands to install pycollada into /Applications/FreeCAD.app (assuming that is where you put FreeCAD.app). sudo easy_install pip pip inst...
