Re: Part Design libs install location

Ah, that makes sense. I wondered what made it special.

Re: Error when importing Arch module

Okay, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem with my build.

Part Design libs install location

Hey there,

I have a quick question: how come the Part Design libraries are installed into Mod/PartDesign? I see in the CMake file there is a comment saying that they must go where the __init__.py file is, but why only Part Design?

Error when importing Arch module

Hi, I was testing my mac build and I discovered that I couldn't import the Arch module in FreeCADCmd. It works fine in the gui. >>> import Arch Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> File "C:\Users\Peter\FreeCAD\FreeCAD_0.14\Mod\Arch\Arch.py", line 30, in <module> Fre...

Re: Removing the Mac installers from downloads?

Okay, that took longer then expected, but I now have a mac build of 0.14.3052. It does not depend on the X11 libs. One thing though, I only built PySide, so people won't be able to use the Ship module.

Should I uploaded it to my Google Drive, or can I have upload access to sourceforge?

Re: Removing the Mac installers from downloads?

Hey guys, I don't use FreeCAD on a Mac myself, so I haven't been really motivated to provide regular builds. However, now that there seems to be more demand for them, I would like to volunteer to be the Mac OS X maintainer. I would take responsibility for providing regular builds and fixing Mac spec...

Re: Using FreeCAD API via PythonGUI

That is actually a completely different problem caused by @executable_path being a different path when the library is imported from python. I wrote a little shell script that should fix the problem (it will only work on my build; not 0.13): fix_FC_install_names.sh To use it, run the following in Ter...

Re: Automate creating a LibPack

That would be a huge amount of work and I'm not sure this pays off because creating a LibPack is not something you do every day or week but maybe once a year. Good point. I may abandon the idea if it proves to be too much for me, but I though I would at least give it a try. It might not pay off jus...

Automate creating a LibPack

Hey guys, It would be really nice to have precompiled libraries for other compilers besides VC9, but it would be a lot of work to build and maintain them all manually. That's why I'm thinking about developing a simple python program that could be used to automate the process. It would be like a simp...
