Re: Help us test FreeCAD v0.13.1830 final for MacOS X

Hi jpellant, The FreeCAD "CompileOnMac" wiki page was last updated on 24April ... There is not much relevant information in that page anymore... maybe I will try updating it if I have the time. First of all, you should know that compiling on mac is not exactly easy -- especially if you don't have mu...

Re: printing a face to scale

Did you actually try it? I built it on 10.6, so it should run on anything newer.

Did you use CMake? Autotools is not supported any more.

Re: Mac build problems 10.8

Well, I would wait to try clang until after you have it working with gcc. My patch that fixes the aptrte error has not to been merged yet. It's a simple fix, though, so you can easily do it yourself. This is the diff: commit ad979421 . The SoQt framework should work fine. Though, I just noticed in yo...

Re: New build for Mac OS X 10.6 -- does it work?

Well, thanks for tying it anyway. I think I might know of a way that a relocatable .app could be built with out using @executable_path... I'll give it a try it when I have the time. For this build, I used the binary package of Qt and compiled everything else manually, but I have used homebrew to ins...

Re: Mac build problems 10.8

It actually might be -- I didn't try too hard. It does link the fortran code fine if you remove the check for gcc in the cmake file, but I ran into some other error that I think was related to config.h.

Re: Mac build problems 10.8

Yeah, that problem is caused by using clang (the default compiler on 10.8), instead of gcc. You need to set CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER to /usr/bin/g++ and CMAKE_C_COMPILER to /usr/bin/gcc

Re: Embedding FreeCAD on MacOS X

By default, those libraries are built with the .so extension instead of .dylib (e.g. libFreeCADApp.so).

Re: Embedding FreeCAD on MacOS X

Also, at the risk of stating the obvious, make sure you set DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH to the correct path.
