Re: Converting model aircraft plans into a 3D model for printing
Step 1: Here are the two formers. They were traced from the images and placed 66 mm apart on the y axis. I used closed splines with control points at the axes and two more in each quadrant. I got a good match to the drawing. Please explore in sketcher. Please examine the two sketches and manipulate ...

Tony,
Give me something more concrete but small; what is the first thing you want to do but can't? I'll try to write the steps for you.

Tooltips and Property sheets
I think this is simply that a few little things need to be squared-up, please: Tool Tips - add tool tip text (hover text) for all property items in the property QTreeView, some are missing; this makes all items equal sources of context help. Property Displays - The properties can be assigned to a gr...

Re: How to make lines coincident in sketch mode
I think you can both simplify and silve this problem: eliminate tje constriction lines and directly use the axes as the referenced lines.

Re: Best practices for fits and tolerances and 3D-printing
I recommend that you take a look at your slicer or take a look at Cura. I googled and read enough to see that your problem is common and that there are things you can do in Cura to make adjustments.

Your idea is interesting and it motivated me to google :"3d modelling integrated with spreadsheet You and others may find that the results help you define the integration. While the current FC capabilities meet my needs It leaves me with two gut feelings: it might be fragile and it might later ...

Re: Constraints stopping me from changing line length
Undo is a frustration. Sometimes it works other times no results. I have some suspicion that one (ostensibly undoable) action can be reversed with multiple undos; no hard evidence but i can imagine the code doing that. I have my own undo scheme: save regularly to a file with a version number in its ...

Re: Can't extrude face
Freecc,
I tried something. I loaded your file. Went to draft wb and decomposed (down arrow) your object. I got 2 wires. I deleted the first one and extruded the second one. The second one could not be deleted (hung).
I wonder if this creates any useful clue for you or a place to begin.
