Re: Part design clone: no colour?

That's how it works, color and all, it can save a lot of memory if you need to duplicate items.

Thanks for looking into this issue, questions about slow array speed have come up hundreds of times. Can't wait to try it.

Re: Newbie question on part design and 3d printing.

You can export pretty much what ever you select. If you highlight a portion of the Body, you export just that. If you highlight all then you will get all. Does that answer your question?

Re: How can I best organize objects for a 3D puzzle?

Depending on how you want folks to assemble this you probably want to end up with each piece in a part container, that way each part can be moved while keeping the integrity of the Body object. My application of this technique arises in 3D printing. I design an object and find that I don't like the ...

Re: How can I best organize objects for a 3D puzzle?

If your really talking about making a final shape and then slice it up, well that might work but it's not a typical CAD engineering solution. An engineer would design each piece (with dimensions) and then put them together and test the fit. Maybe your way is better, I would have never thought about ...

Re: Force user to select a special subobject (face, line, vertex)

marja1 wrote This is the first time someone else confirm that remove-callback is not working well. There could be a strategy behind addSelection to give feedback info in the call-back, even giving multiples. It is a little difficult to deal with in a macro. I found that if you print the call-back i...

Re: Force user to select a special subobject (face, line, vertex)

In my macros I get the selection/element and then do a "clearSelection, this keeps the main program from doing more highlights like it does with multiple selections of the same face, for instance. Once I'm done with the code I re-select the item. It's kind of a pain but you do get clean selections a...

Re: [Not Solved] Sketcher dimensions not initially drawn

Sounds elusive enough. Maybe a work around (in code) is to do the operation and then query if it actually occurred. My laptop lags but my desktop is fine, Intel and Nvidia respectfully.

P.S. "Dimensions without a t...." :)

Re: Can I Extrude a 2d shaped, but in a curved fashion?

=cool_name123 I'm not sure if I understand this tool... You hit the nail on the head, that's exactly what I want to accomplish, but every time I plug your directions into that function I wind up with something like this: That looks familiar, I forgot about that, I was going to report it. I found th...
