Re: Is this worth a tracker list at current develoment?

Sure enough. Thanks. Is there something on the forum page (visual) to tell me when a new version is published? OS: Windows 7 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.18.13524 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: master Hash: 04a7f566fe71dcad8fda92af2f467d3cc211a372 Python version...

Re: Visual issue (small bug) Imperial rounding

I specified units because I didn't know what people use. I draw parts that are just a few thou. so 4 units for me. All I was targeting is the fact that it draws heights correctly in MM but does it a little different( looking) in Imperial because when the rounding takes place. I personally don't have...

Is this worth a tracker list at current develoment?

Part Design; Make a solid doughnut and select, click on "Make a thick solid". DOA on the table everytime. It doesn't much sense to do this operation and I can see surface calc problems. OS: Windows 7 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.17.13452 (Git) Build type: Release B...

Visual issue (small bug) Imperial rounding

Wanted to log this error just in case it fixes something else. I will log it after any feedback. Freecads basic units are metric, conversions must be made to Imperial. A slight visual issue is noticable during a draw. How to see this: In Preferences->Units, Set Units to Imperial, 2 decimal places. I...

Re: Tracker and Search and Posts and New User

I was just hoping to ease the questions to the moderators. I've posted 1000+ on other sites and it's tough answering the same questions over and over. I think there are some basics. Given some time I might just do that. Subject: Do's and don't to new users". * There is an infinite, but uncountable, ...

I donwloaded the plugin. I'm not all that good with installations yet. I installed the plugin and there is a listing in the workbench. Maybe I did that wrong.

Re: 3 d printer help

I need some help. I installed the 3d printer workbench and when I click on the hammers I don't get any actions. I opened a python screen and nothing going on.
I also installed cura engine.

I wanted to document this install, it seems there's info all over the place. I don't know what to do.

Re: Tracker and Search and Posts and New User

Interesting insight. I did read the how to report and how to post (kind of). After that I just pushed buttons until I got what I wanted. That's where I think inprovement could be made. I have seen here quite a lot of newbies starting right away with error reports or feature requests which afterwards...

Tracker and Search and Posts and New User

I'm kind of new on this site so here are some observations. It would be really helpful if there was a Sticky Post that said something like "Best practice to use this site". It could reduced some of the repetitive questions. I looked around and here is my short list: Searching: The search box at the ...

Re: 3 d printer help

I have been looking around at slicers. I'm a big fan security. I get the feeling these folks that make free slicers just want in to your computer. Most of them have Windows installers and you run some .exe and it hooks right up with TCP. No thank you. But... It appears that freecad has a macro that ...
