Re: Realthunders work

yorik, What's sorely missing here is people willing to help to review and thoroughly test Realthunder's pull requests. I think this is actually my target for this post, even though I didn't have a total plan. FreeCADLink is an unknown item and needs to be tested. The forum is where we get feedback ...

Re: How do you close a "pad"?

You could copy and paste your sketch, remove the inner portion of the sketch and pad a cap.

Realthunders work

I know there are some strong opinions about realthunders fork of FreeCAD but that's not my target, but it is open discussion after all :) . I was kind of hoping we could find some middle ground here on the forum. To start with could we agree that assembly3 (asm3) has taken FreeCAD to another level, ...

Re: Assembly3 preview

Is there a way to stop the tree selection changing the object highlighted, in front, semi-transparent? I just want to see what is selected.
Pic, unselected on the left and selected on the right.

[Solved] Found Preferences-Display-Draw Styles, there are some selection options.

Re: A thought on topological naming error fixing, the process

Are you talking about Assembly3? I downloaded the latest ASM3 and created the middle plate (highlighted) on the XY plane. I then create a sketch on a side face and extruded, you can see the shape created on the outside face. Then the real test, I went back to the main first sketch and created a cuto...

Re: Lost my Dots!

I had that problem. If I set Preferences-Display-Rendering-Anti-Aliasing to 2x or 4x then the dots come back.

Re: Assembly3 preview

Thought I would give ASM3 another try, I can't populate my second screen with views like I can in std FreeCAD. I can drag the view window to the second monitor but when I release the mouse the view window pops back to the main window. Also when I drag the view to the second window there is a blue ba...

Returned are the messages: 1372.47 <App> Document.cpp(3151): The graph must be a DAG. 1372.52 <App> Document.cpp(3504): Unbenannt#Sketch still touched after recompute Oh ya! You can mess up a model so very quickly using this. I should write in bold. Development only on every page. To use this you r...

Re: A thought on a topological naming error fix process

Hopefully these conversations help the developers and are thought provoking. If you (a programmer) have a modeling error and you have two complete data sets to look at, you can start to analyze and highlight faces or give visual feedback using coordinates from both models. You would have reference p...

A thought on topological naming error fixing, the process

Just an idea, could be a duplicate, I don't know. Maybe a little simplistic just to get the idea across.... FreeCADs GUI does all the work of organizing the model data and then hands the data off to OCC. At that point the GUI waits for the OCC result. When OCC returns the data-set we either have a b...
