Re: View on DatumPlane

What your after is probably in here. If you can't find a macro to do it, post back here. https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Macros_recipes Oh! I did think of another way. If you go into Preferences-Sketcher and un-click "Restore camera position after editing" your view won't change after you close a sketch...

Re: Assigning sketches to standard planes, macro

Had an upgrade idea: Added another button that allows direct mapping. You can select and map a Sketch/Plane/Datum/LCS direct to some other Plane/Datum/LCS. Have fun mapping.

Re: Assigning sketches to standard planes, macro

I updated the macro, now V2. I added a recompute after every map assignment and made the XY plane a default selection. I think this is much more stable to use.

Re: Assigning sketches to standard planes, macro

I plan to add recompute to the macro, I have had some FreeCAD crashes, this thing is a bit dangerous without a recompute I think. You can also imagine as I do that mapping a sketch to new place could have some serious issues if not done in a correct way and finished completely. If anyone has thought...

Re: Combo View, TreeView, separate

On my workstation the right monitor is all 3D, the left monitor looks like this pic. I couldn't ask for more functionality.

Re: Combo View, TreeView, separate

bambuko, that's kind of why the "Tree view" panel can be on it's own. I use the combo view (always locked on Task) and the Tree view panel for selections.

Re: Combo View, TreeView, separate

I also noticed that any of the "View" panels" can be combined by dragging one over the other, or they can be split-up by "click and hold" dragging them out from the lower tab panel. Kind of new, but it works!

Re: Assigning sketches to standard planes, macro

Here you go. There isn't a lot of error handing so select appropriate stuff because it will remap to almost anything :). The button "???" will fill in with the reference selected, a new Plane/Datum/LCS can be selected anytime. Now that we have a target for mapping we move to the lower section and se...
