### Re: Beginner help with assembly of cupboard

Hi @_cyclops_, At first, you should have a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDcaFq6IEJM , for having a good introduction to A2plus. Assembly is show at the end of it. As the mentioned video is working with an older Version of A2plus, you should have later a look at this one, whic...

### Re: Call for team! Reimplementing constraint solver

. Crosspost... Well, I don't think they can be joined, if the systems aren't decoupled. So, while it is possible, the usefullness is questionable. I assumed, that is what you wanted when you asked "Is it possible to calculate a placement operation for each constraint and then calculate an resulting ...

### Re: Call for team! Reimplementing constraint solver

. Thank you for all the information. That is not how sketcher solver is working. Sketcher solver is a completely algebraic construct. Its job is to figure out a values for parameters, given a set of error functions, by zeroing out the error functions. It has no idea what is a placement, what is a ve...

### Re: Call for team! Reimplementing constraint solver

The primary goal is to have a standalone solver decoupled from Sketcher, ready for 3d assembly solving, and with full python bindings. Hi @DeepSOIC, thank you for taking the initative and doing this call. My special respect to you... I am also not quite sure, whether a new stand alone solver will b...

### Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

Hi @GlouGlou, usually it is no good idea to mix up work with A2plus and other workbenches in one file. Problem 1 here: After cloning, the clone get's an independent (decoupled) placement of its original. If the original is moved, the clone is not. As the A2plus constraints are only operating at the...

### Re: Adventure of fixing sketcher solver for large sketches

Back then when I tried to write a 3d solver for assemblies I failed for that very reason: standard numeric solvers are unable to cope with the fact that rotational and transitional degrees of freedom have different sensitivities, a unit change in the parameter leads to to massively different change...

the line 130 must be changed in : elif not spreadSheetCellsFound and line.startswith(b'<Property name="cells" type="Spreadsheet::PropertySheet"'): Thank you @PhilCera, that was the bug and i fixed it. ... but i get also not the simple text... nothing what i write to the partsinfos i get at the Part...

### Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

I would like to know, if is it possible to add an assembly do with A2plus, to a body of Part Design, and then to use this assembly like a part of FreeCAD. My problem is to do and hole between all the assembly. Hi jbe, In standard mode this will probably cause problems. A2+ tries to generate solids....

### Re: Assembly4 and TechDraw

This is the first time I've encountered a Part that has a Shape. Usually I hunt through the Group (and children) for objects with a Shape. Is this Shape added by Assembly4? Does it represent the whole assembly? Do "Model" objects always have a Shape? Is objectName == "Model" a reliable indicator th...
