Re: Chamfer and Loft not good

perhaps he can help: I used the Part WB > ShapeBuilder tool to create a Shell from the Faces, then again to create a Solid from Shell. Shell and Solid both fail Check Geometry, but a .stl made from it still might 3D print. 20190622a-Part_ShapeBuilder.FCStd OS: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS Word size of OS: 32...

Re: Error message "Pad: Result has multiple solids. This is not supported at this time."

Hi, and welcome from me too! Part Design was originally intended to make one solid at a time and what you see in the video, a Sketch containing 4 triangular islands being Padded to create 4 separate solids, was a bug. However, it was often handy to be able to create disconnected solids from a single...

Re: Difficulty in reading from high resolution monitor

I barely see the text in design tool boxes (Please see the picture below). Does anyone have the same problem? Is there a way to change the size? Hi dukelem, and welcome! I used to have that problem but that was years ago when I was using Windows XP and I've since changed to Linux. But, from looking...

Re: When padding a sketch imported from LibreCAD, the outline is closed wrongfully.

I expected the shape of my detail to be as I drafted, but, as you can see, it is not even symmetrical anymore because of a glitch in the upper left corner. I'm not sure what the glitch is. Is it that the vertical line segment on top appears shorter than the one on the bottom? grim-1561124934.png If...

Re: freezing

The OP had a problem while trying to do something much more complex, and with what has become a much outdated version of FreeCAD, while orcaman42 writes that FreeCAD freezes simply upon launching... so to me these are different issues...

Re: What stands the unit "CV" for?

I only found out that in French "CV" stands for horsepower. But why should FreeCAD support such a unit I suppose it's because HP is generally still the unit of power in the U.S. horsepower has different definitions It's still the same unit of power, just expressed (defined) in different units (metr...

Re: freezing

Quoted and posted simply to save it: Mac OS X 10.14.6 (18G48f) FreeCAD 0.18 Seems to freeze while launching. It prevents multitasking while launching. Upon asking to open a file after it's opened the app it just freezes all together. Not sure what I I can do to help? But at least it's not a problem ...
