New dialogs for assembly constraints

Hi ickby, I really liked the new dialogs for changing the constraints. Now it's possible to play around with the options until the rendering will show the needed results... After playing a bit with the options, in most of the cases I didn't see any differences while switching between the options (pa...

Re: Export to STP on assembly stream

Strange... Checked it again this morning and everything worked fine.
Maybe make install solved the issue somehow...

Export to STP on assembly stream

Hi guys,

Should the export to STP format work on the assembly stream (from the part designer workbench)?

In my case there is no file created for some reason :(

Re: TODO for assembly branch

The assembly module is not yet a complete feature, but it do appear as one of the projects in mantis, so I assume it was added there for bug to be reported. I can't imagine a good way to track all the bugs in forum, maybe having a separate forum for that might be a better idea where every topic will...

Re: TODO for assembly branch

I think that having 1 thread for all reported bugs will be a big mess.
The bugs should probably be reported in bugtracker, that's what it's intended for.
Forums should be used for questions and discussions.

My 2 cents.

Re: Big merge day

Have you seen kawahoo's video? Yes, I saw it several times and still think I'm missing something... First operation he do there is align the pin and piston, selecting equal makes sense to me. After that he selects outer surrounding of the pin, where I assume the normal is pointing outside as you wr...

Re: Big merge day

I think I need some guidance to fully understand how it supposed to work. I've created a rectangular shape with some holes to play around. Exported it to STP. Changed to assembly workbench. Added 2 of those parts to the assembly. Moved a bit (transformed) the second part so i can see both. Now I wan...

Re: Big merge day

Hi, I have the following printouts in the console until the application crashes completely. I saw a thread that discussed about the coin error and there was suppose to be a fix. Isn't it in the stream already? There is not much info on the crash, is there a better way to collect needed information? ...

Re: Big merge day

Ok, will try to reproduce everything I see strange. New info on my first problem: It looks like an installation problem since running as ./bin/FreeCAD works as expected. Previously I run "sudo make install" over the official 0.13 version that caused the problem. I do see the new assembly toolbar tho...

Re: Big merge day

Oh, found the report view, here's the traceback message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "<string>", line 1, in <module> <type 'exceptions.ImportError'>: No module named AssemblyLib Stack Trace: Traceback (most recent call last): File "<string>", line 1, in <module> Do I have something wrong...
