Re: Watch case question

I use a different approach to make the lug, using SubtractivePipe instead of Loft, so I model the lug another body, as the SubtractivePipe will also cut the main body.

Now I finished the lug modeling, but cannot figure out how to mirror the lug on another side.

Re: Watch case question

Thank you all for solving my problem.

But I have trouble in creating the datum planes on "construction sketch". I cannot figure out how to align the datum plane to the outer edge of the sketch.

Re: Watch case question

I am trying to make a lower down lug, similar to the Laurent Ferrier Square.

I make two sketches, Sketch007 and Sketch008, and tried to create a loft but failed. I think it should be my usage problem but I cannot figure out why.

Watch case question

I am modelling a watch case, but ran out of idea on making the lugs.

What is a better way to create lugs, if I want the lug top and bottom side follow along the arc of the top and bottom of the case?

Try setting the alias on the cell containing the value (B2 in this case) instead of the label (A2) in column A. (The yellow highlighted cells are the ones containing the aliases.)
Edit: I found I was wrong.

Yes I did assign alias in the Spreadsheet label A2, it changed to yellow highlighted. But when I set the alias in Pad->...

Re: How to project point of a body

Yes, but look at the last file I made too. I used hammax's file, I deleted the Part operations and created PartDesign features inside a Body. His method is even cleaner, and it does not require use of datum points, or to add a point in the sketch. Yes, that method even better, but the width will be...
