Re: Closed polyline does not create face

Changing the display mode works fine. It is just somewhat unexpected!

One thing I am still curious about is why downgrading a dwire/polyline produces a face. If anyone can explain that to me I would like to hear it :D .

Re: Strange effects when trying to slice a arch roof object

For information this is the debug message I see. Re: Strange effects when trying to slice a arch roof object

Roy, Method B worked as far as the cut was concerned. However I got some really strange effects with transparency when I used move(copy) to place more dormers in the transparent roof panels. Transparency seemed to bleed over into the dormers and change as the 3d viewpoint was moved. Weird, but I can...

Tested on 19. Same results, except no debug output on cut plane.

Strange effects when trying to slice a arch roof object

Hi, I am trying to slice an arch roof object to create a dormer roof with a tail. I have tried both arch cutplane and arch remove, both fail. Arch cutplane fails with a debug message, and arch remove works in a totally unexpected way. I have attached a file which illustrates this. I tried the cutpla...

File .. Print gives garbage

HI, Running FreeCAD 0.18.3 on Ubuntu 19.04 and 19.10 the File/Print and File/"Print preview" menu selections produce garbage. It looks like whatever is being used to grab the 3d view window contents is just getting a area of memory that is something other than the 3d view window buffer. The area it g...

Re: Move the origin of the global coordinate system.

Hi Chris, Thanks for the quick reply. I realise now that I had phrased the question very badly. What I want to do is to rebase the model such that a nominated point in the model was moved to the origin of the global coordinate system, and the other model coordinates recalculated according. That is, ...

Move the origin of the global coordinate system.

Hi,
Is it possible to move the origin of the global coordinate system and cause all the coordinates stored in the model to be recalculated?

If so. How would I go about it?

Any help gratefully received!

R.
