Re: Sketcher WB: moving destroys hexagon

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ShareX to make sreenshots quickly and with the same resolution as you see it on screen. I love it and used it already for the documentation of the a2plus WB. So maybe this could also be a useful tool for your tutorials. chrisb, like a lot of us on the forum, doesn't us...

Re: Color Parts

Chris, what I see in your animated GIF seems perfectly normal to me. What the File --> Revert menu does is to load up the content of the .FCStd1 backup file, which is created when you save your document, but with the preceding state of the "Set color..." operation. The last backup document is always...

Re: Sheet metal workbench: problem with unfolding

I will add that by editing the first Bend's extend1 and extend2 values to something less than 1mm (which happens to be the radius of all your bends), as well as the same properties of Bend003, some of the other bends will be reassigned to different faces. This is due to the topological naming issue ...

Re: How to avoid being kicked out by the Wiki software

AFAIK this has never happened to me. Are you using the Preview button? When editing the wiki, I hit Preview countless times to look at the result, every 5 minutes or even less. Maybe that's why I don't get kicked out.

Re: Sheet metal workbench: problem with unfolding

Hi,

Your box cannot be unfolded because the side bends are touching the front bends. You need to factor in small gaps between the flanges for the shape to unfold. It really does not need to be a big gap, even 0.001mm will work.

Re: [SOLVED] 0.17 (and 0.18) crashes when trying to open 0.16 files

That's really odd, because libcoin80v5 is still installed on my system, and I have no trouble opening old files.

Re: LibreDWG revived!

Really? I need to check this out. I wasn't interested in it because I don't have any Inventor files, and don't work with it at my day job.

Re: 0.17 (and 0.18) crashes when trying to open 0.16 files

Hello Trenien, I have no problem opening old FCStd files, with same OS and PPAs. In both cases, your error messages mention the libcoin80c library, an update to the libcoin80v5 library from standard Ubuntu 18.04 repositories, and which is provided by both freecad-stable and freecad-daily PPAs to fix...
