Re: New "validate sketch" tool

I have no idea what "Find" does, I tried it and there was no output in the report view. I implemented this tool to add the missing coincident constraints to the sketch in the referenced forum thread. Since the sketch there has ~150 curve elements and doing even only a slight change requires almost ...

Re: Part Design question

I'm sure normandc will give a much better answer, as normandc= :ugeek:, but from what I can see, it looks like when you selected RodmountM5Hole1 and used the Edit>Duplicate selection, you told the Object dependencies wigget N o, which informs then asks: The selected objects have a dependency to unse...

Re: Customize Toolbar-Add Icons causes crash.

Does this crash happen immediately even before being able to select a path? If so, does it also crash when you open the macro panel under Macro > Macros and then select the browse button to change the destination directory? Yes, the crash did happen immediately when I clicked on the add icon button...

Sorry, the icons are hard coded. BTW it's = it is... So your title actually reads "Where does FreeCAD keep it is Icons?" Sorry again, it's a pet peeve of mine, when I read misuse of "it's" vs. "its" it drives me nuts. ;) You are quite right, My bad on the grammar. Fixed it. Well that's a bit...

Where does FreeCAD keep its Icons?

Guess the title says it all - Where does FreeCAD keep it's Icons on Linux? I'v looked in /usr/share/freecad/ and all I find are the FreeCAD logo icons. Looking in home directory .freecad gives me nothing. In fact, I'v looked in about every place i can think of and not finding them. i need to place a...

Re: Customize Toolbar-Add Icons causes crash.

LOL, no I don't use a space mouse.. I even had to google it to find out what one was! Cool looking product though. My Mouse is just a standard Logitech USB mouse w/cord. It is run through a KVM to switch between 2 machines if that would make any difference.

Re: Customize Toolbar-Add Icons causes crash.

Trying this on Ubuntu 12.04 I don't get a crash. But anyway, the message says that somewhere (probably in the GUI) an exception is raised which then goes through some C code and thus the error message comes up. Maybe you should run FreeCAD with the debugger and post back the stack trace. In termina...

Re: script to export only visible stuff to stl

you mean the kisslicer icons/logos like these? :P had to put it in a zip file due to the forums refusing to accept ico files as attachments. Those might do, but I was talking about the blue and yellow one that shows up in the browser tab and in the upper left hand side of the screenshot on their we...

Re: need drawings for screw threads (or instructions)

Have a look in the wiki. http://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/index.php?title=Macros But isn't there usually some clearance between an inner thread and an outer thread? Yea, there is and that can be adjusted by the scale of the male thread before the cut if you need the tolerances. Also, in mechanical de...
