name of build version.h file

doing a cmake out of source build, I got an error about no file exists for Build/Version.h. I found a file named Version.h.in and removed the ".in" ending and build finished without issue. This was for svn revision 3691. Just FYI.

Re: spaceball again

I looked it up, its the "3DConnexion Spacenavigator Personal Editon 3D mouse" and the drivers for that. IMHO that is all you need. I wish they would sell a keyboard with puck added on to the end. I have a whole keyboard full of keys and most apps today allow some key customization. I wouldn't pay a...

Re: spaceball again

I am going to continue to post subject matter as to use this thread as a research log. That way if I am unable or unwilling to take this to completion, there will be a collection of information. Don't feel obligated to respond. I was doing some research to try and determine if the event structures f...

Re: spaceball again

I have a new cheap one, USB. I am guessing you have a space traveler that has just 6DOF and no buttons? As long as the unit doesn't slide across your desk that is all you need! I haven't used all the models over the years but I have used enough of them to decide that the buttons are of little use a...

Re: spaceball again

Werner is right, if you have a patch, I can test it with my SpaceMouse (on Windows). what SpaceMouse do you have? serial, usb? etc... But at the moment I have no time to code it my self :( So its your itch, we can only help you to scratch it ;) Don't worry, I won't try to pass the buck. I have alre...

Re: spaceball again

Sure, that's the only place where to handle the events of further input devices. For me the open point is whether the code there handles all space balls the same way or does the code look different from space ball to space ball. In the latter case I think we should implement a small library/class f...

Re: spaceball again

...this would of course require platform specific event handling, but I don't think that would be a big deal I think for the moment this is OK. You sound hesitant....What do you see on the horizon? I am talking about overriding qapplication::x11EventFilter on linux, winEventFilter on windows etc......

Re: spaceball again

looking at the changelog, it seems soqt and has been kind of backing away from supporting anything but keyboard and mouse. They have had spaceball and linux joystick (which I am experimenting with) support at one time and now version 1.6 (which I am using) doesn't mention either. Couldn't find chang...

spaceball again

I wrote a test application with soqt and got my magellan seriel spacemouse working through the linux kernel magellan driver. I am fooling around with the free-cad code trying to duplicate what I had done with the test. Not successful yet, but that is not what this post is about. I am looking for opi...

free-cad gets press

Congratulations! I was browsing through cpu Magazine today and noticed they have an article about cad systems on linux. It covers QCad (auto-cad clone...no thanks) and free-cad.
