Re: Dare I? OK, An HI issue again .obj as default Export

FWIW,

I have been using thanks to @jonnor, https://github.com/jonnor/projects/tree ... rt-project macro which has 4 supported file types stl, obj, step and dxf and I use the created export folder as a shared area with Blender.

Re: [Solved] Error Loading Mesh Module in 018.14784 but loads correctly in 018.14575

Tests on both versions through to starting solver worked correctly using the updated workbench, thanks for the quick response.

I've had a look at the change you made and that helps me if I come across any errors in other workbenches or macros that I only use occasionally.

Thanks again
John

[Solved] Error Loading Mesh Module in 018.14784 but loads correctly in 018.14575

Firstly I'm really not sure if this should be a CFD WB specific forum issue or a general Help forum issue so Moderators please feel free to move it accordingly. I initially downloaded and extracted FreeCAD version 018.14784 daily and ran a set of macros to prepare the Millennium Falcon case (which I...

Re: cfdOF install

You've most likely accidently had the Pad and/or the Body_elbow1 selected in the Model Tree and caught the Space Bar which toggles visibility on and off. Items will be ghosted where the visibility is off and coloured in when visible.

Re: cfdOF install

I don't think you need to re-install anything, I've had the FEM::FemMeshPythonObject warning on: OS: Windows 7 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.18.14555 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: master Hash: 7d8e53aaab17961d85c5009de34f69f2af084e8b Python version: 2.7.14 Qt ve...

Re: cfdOF install

That does sound like it's got stuck because that part of the installation isn't that big. Not sure whether there's a log recording through the setup process for someone to investigate. I've seen on the https://www.cfd-online.com forum whether some users have had to kill the install but happy for som...

Re: cfdOF install

I'll let Oliver confirm but possibly the Features section is slightly out of date as there has been a number of changes recently including the HiSA Solver being added. Just for info, my knowledge is only just up from a new user when it comes to the CFD side. I only get chance to do a few weeks a yea...

Re: cfdOF install

It's nearly a year since I did my first Cfd WB installation (the predecessor to CfdOF WB) that I can't just remember where I saw the installation steps but today's installation information is available at https://github.com/jaheyns/CfdOF#getting-started . I think it would be unwise for the workbench...

Re: cfdOF install

This would be my first step on diagnosis, in Edit menu > Preferences > CFD, does it look like screenshot below with all the items installed and after running the Dependency Checker stating No missing dependencies detected: CFD_DependencyCheck.jpg Just for info, it's not a two minute job to install a...

Re: Looking for advice for designing a gazebo type structure.

The plan view may look slightly wrong if you have Edit menu > Preferences > Display > Perspective Rendering selected but with Orthographic Rendering selected the plan view is as you would expect.
