Re: Collaborative CAD platform

another question. as far as I understand it display the brep of the freecad file, so I guess it is why, on a single file, with a single body, when we are suppose to see only one part, there is also other "part" displayed? Yes, the approach to display the BREPs zipped in the FCSTD file is too naive/...

Re: Collaborative CAD platform

My mini wind tunnel is there!! XD XD XD I notice that the visualisation of some geometry faces is missing when the camera angle changes (bellmouth walls). Also, I cannot select. Yes, the mini wind tunnel was used to test for performance since it contains over 1000 BREPs. Due to the load, some faces...

Sounds ambitious and therefore good luck.
Thanks! A standalone version of this project already works (https://github.com/osv-team/osvcad, https://github.com/osv-team/party). We are porting it to a web platform step by step.

Collaborative CAD platform

In the context of a bigger project (CampOSV/PYOSVUE), I am currently working on a collaborative CAD platform that intends to bring collaborative software development practices to open hardware design. Obviously, FreeCAD has a huge role to play as the most advanced Open Source CAD project. For what i...

Re: Minor issue : dot becomes underscore in part or body name

Because 'dot' has a special meaning in my branch. It is used as a separator in sub-object name references. See here for more details. Thanks for the explanation. The reason why is now very clear. Just an idea: wouldn't the use of another character than dot help with mainstream FreeCAD compatibility...

Re: Minor issue : dot becomes underscore in part or body name

Did the test. Renaming an object in the model view with a dot works without any problem on a 0.17 FreeCAD on Linux. Must have to do with realthunder's branch

Re: An example of Gordon Surface based upon OCC

For an experimental workbench, the support is better than for a commercial one ! Getting an answer in 2 minutes ! Wow ! Thanks for the tip, I will try following your advice ... Keep up the great work.
EDIT : it works great now, using BSplines made with Sketcher!

Re: An example of Gordon Surface based upon OCC

I am starting with the Curves WB. Installed it via the Addons Manager on FC 0.17 13528 on Win 10. I create a BSpline curve with the "Create a BSpline curve" command and then, while it is selected, I click the "Create an editable spline from selected edges" in the hope to be able to modify it later v...
