Re: OpenSees, the Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation

... i mean how can i find which element number has which section, not arch object, i mean by python. i want for writing opensees input file. ... If something works in CalculiX just have a look at calculiX writer ... i looked into .inp export file for this model. in analysis we have beams and column...

Re: OpenSees, the Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation

in earlier posts your wrote about pvd. I would try to use this one as output. You can directly open it in paraview. To import in FreeCAD we should somehow check if it would be possible to open this in FreeCAD. Since FreeCAD used vtk to open vtk file format it might be possible to open pvd as well a...

Re: OpenSees, the Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation

What do you need to specify cross sections in opensees? Geometry values of specific cross section like height, width and so on or generic values like A, Iyy, Izz etc? thanks @bernd. i had been read that multi times, but as it returns True or False i coudn't find that. i will try and tell you. i gue...

Dear everyone,

Are you looking for a workbench that looks like CypeCAD? Maybe you can take some ideas...

best regards,
Ekaitz.

Re: OpenSees, the Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation

@bernd. I analysed this model successfully with opensees. but still i can't assign proper section to each element, can you please tell me? ... like this ? no, i know that, i mean how can i find which element number has which section, not arch object, i mean by python. i want for writing opensees in...

Re: OpenSees, the Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation

@bernd, I can view the displacement of model in 3 DOF system, but when i create a 3D model with 6 DOF, paraview don't show displacement of structure. this is my opensees FreeCAD model, in this post. i send you a PR. to run this you must merge that. also i want to apply result class in opensees. open...
