To sum up, are sxz and syz components exchanged?
I think you are right that components are written in a different order.
I don't exactly recall where it was discussed, if somewhere on this forum or on the ccx mailing list.
Thank you FandaL!

Re: Display principal stresses

Hello, I have a doubt regarding the stresses and their posterior calculation like principal stresses.... Taking a row vector from calculix .frd and .dat files... Are the indexes of stress values sorted in the same manner? I check that in the .dat file the stress for each element integration point is...

Re: Principal Stress Plots

Thomas, all the credit goes to FreeCAD, Calculix and Paraview !! An amazing trio :D Hi Harry! Awesome work! I also use the same trio and I like your perforated plate example from here https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=29381&start=10#p240856 How do you get it? I guess that, the "stre...

Re: [Help] - Error in frequency analysis

In short: Try to calculate less frequencies, or use 2nd order elements / finer mesh. In more details: I looked at the last example only (with C3D4 elements). This example works for me (ccx packed with Calculix Launcher) for up to 8 frequencies. When asking for 9 or more ccx gives the error *ERROR i...

Re: [Help] - Error in frequency analysis

I'd be really interested in the FreeCAD file because there is nothing useful in the frd file except the mesh. Attached is the file. Have a look. Neverless FreeCAD should not have problems with the file. cube_C3D4.frd.txt It is a frequency analysis in a free-free conditions. The .dat file has inform...

Re: [Help] - Error in frequency analysis

would it be possible to sent the FreeCAD file. Just clear the mesh (clear the mesh, do not delete it !) Do you get the same error if you use 3D FEM example from Start WB and use your solver adjustments ? Hello bernd, Thank you for your fast response. I send you the input file of a very simple cube....

Re: Modelica

Hello, I tried a little bit with Modelica years ago and I know that it can be connected with python via PyFMI. https://fmi-standard.org/ https://pypi.org/project/PyFMI/ A colleague was able to run simulations of a model developed in OpenModelica with python via PyFMI. M. Gonzalez, E. Esteban, O. Sal...
