A2+ Latest try for reducing broken constraints.

Here is a workbench that has reduced the broken constraint headache for me. If all you are changing are dimension’s on existing sketches use the update button that come with A2+ as this program gives weird results. If you are adding or removing mounting holes then you may want to try this update. Fo...

Maybe reduce A2plus broken constraints

Here is an idea\tool that I believe might help reduce the number of constraint errors when a part needs to be modified in A2plus or at least help find them. To install: Unzip the file and trop it in your mod folder usually at “C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD\Mod” for windows. Restart FreeC...

Re: A2plus Pipe Assembly Challenge

2.) Move the inclined pipe at an angle of 35° to the other pipe. I am a little confused now that I reread the statement. I added this hoping it clarifies what I did. My LCS are 3 sides that meet in the corner with each side pointing in XYZ directions. I put the origin at 000. I pivoted the second o...

Re: A2plus Pipe Assembly Challenge

Sorry Sir, We have no chance to connect the two pipes in a right way! I have download your files, but also there missed dimensions... Walter Thanks for taking a look. thank you very much for your answers. I finally found a way. I did it following the advice from syres: I'm thinking this is like a t...

Re: Another approach to assembly solver (A2plus)

kbwbe I’m still trying to ease the pain when a part is changed and the mates blow up. I hope you have a moment to let me know how much trouble I‘m heading into by changing the mating parts in your constraints. I have 3 projects that I hope works together at some point. You’ve seen the first that sha...

Re: A2plus Pipe Assembly Challenge

I built mine using Coordinate Systems built from surfaces. If anyone is interested in how I did it, leave a note. File is attached.

The pictures of the two model were taken from the top view and they look different. Is either model accurate? Any accuracy judges out there?

Re: A2plus Pipe Assembly Challenge

I'm only half way there but I thought I would send this if it helps. This is the first time I have had something to built using surfaces ae planes so it is a learning curve. I have one of the red planes constrained to the front surface by distance and the other red plane aligned with the side plane ...

Re: A2plus Pipe Assembly Challenge

Unfortunately I didn´t find any way how to work with LCS (Local Coordinate System) in accordance to the GCS (Global Coordinate System) or Workplanes in A2plus. Would this workaround work for Workplanes? The way I put the three planes in the assembly, at x0, y0, z0 might even work as a GCS. One surf...

Re: Looking for old version of Code Snippets. Found on current page.

Thanks for the replies.
ChrisB: I had looked on the history page but never found where I could open an old copy.
Onekk: Thanks for the snippets you provided.

I found the code on the current snippet page. All 85 lines is exposed by expanding this box.

Looking for old version of Code Snippets.

I like the new code snippets, There are new ones that I would have found and will find handy. There is one snippet I miss, the one that loops through an object and returns information on all vertices ,edges and surfaces. Will that snippet return please, and is there a place I might get a page versio...
