Re: About MOOC Workbench

Hi vocx ! Thanks for that. Unfortunately at the moment I can't post english screenshot because i'm unable to make a translatable workbench. [1] And since the mooc will be in french langage I prefer keep the gui in fench at the moment. If I find time I will create a simple tutorial in english so the...

You should use TechDraw Workbench which is actually maintained and actively developed. Second, you are using an old combin...

The message is telling you that you are missing a dependency, so you need to install it.

Code: Select all

Re: Making stuff available for external python programming.

I conclude that if a user installs a new style of workbench they will not pick up on any changes to the git repository after installation... That's not what it says. That is if you want to test the workbench locally during development, in a directory that is not by default in the Python path. If th...

I try to install freecad on jetson nano by this:
What is Jetson nano?

As openBrain says, try installing without the -doc package. It causes collisions currently.

Make sure you've added the PPA repository first, and do

Code: Select all

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
before installing FreeCAD.

Re: Making stuff available for external python programming.

Is this now the official position? When I asked before I was told that it was a particular effort rather than official Nothing is ever "official" because there is not a fixed command structure in FreeCAD. Decisions are more or less by committee. If most developers think it's a good idea and a good ...

Re: I want to modify an existing workbench (fcgears)

can you elaborate what specific numpy support you're referring to ? FreeCAD uses the Eigen3 library to deal with vector operations. The basic block of many mathematical operations is the FreeCAD.Vector class, internally an Eigen3 vector. Therefore, functions in FreeCAD expect as input a FreeCAD.Vec...

Re: Case Study: Musescore (FLOSS cross-platform sheetmusic/scorewriter) UI/UX

An aside, it's interesting how these comic critique clips generate so much buzz. @sliptonic was surprised when he posted his video. He puts out all these clips describing functions of FC and features and cool stuff... but the moment he puts out 5 reasons why people hate FreeCAD...whoosh... "X reaso...

Recently Yorik moved the Draft SelectPlane code outside the DraftTools.py file, and into its own file. He also placed the graphical interface in a TaskSelectPlane.ui file, inste...
