Re: Feature: Automatically select created object

Is there a way to automatically select an object after creating it?... I am using version 0.19, what you want is possible in my system. I'm not sure if this is a difference between the version, or maybe in your case it doesn't work. I don't remember if in 0.18 I didn't see this behavior. The Draft ...

Thanks. I guess this is the tutorial tool I was talking about.

Re: Arch: window/door in a Cut does not make a hole

My assumption at this point is that Part tools can be used inside an Arch/BIM workflow without any issues. If you know of any specific problems please share them. Well, you already saw the problems in this thread about the Window, and trying to cut a wall with Part Cut . Boolean operations like tha...

Re: Arch: window/door in a Cut does not make a hole

The problem is, as a newbie, I'm assuming that all the tools I see in the Arch workbench by default are good to use for arch stuff.. if this doesn't hold true, maybe they should not be shown by default in that workbench? This is both a characteristic of the system (open source development, everybod...

Re: Bug Report: Assembly 2 - Import a part from another FreeCAD document

I have moved some of the posts in this topic to a new one: State of Assembly2 . I hope you agree. I don't agree with the split. The other posts give context as to why Assembly2 should be considered obsolete, and should not be used anymore. It provided an explanation as to why the error is probably ...

Re: Arch: window/door in a Cut does not make a hole

So this sweeping statement still seems incorrect to me: It's not a sweeping statement, it's a general recommendation for new users. It's like those users that start mixing Part Workbench operations with PartDesign operations. It may work some times, but other times it creates chaos. If you are an e...

Re: FreeCAD as pre-post procesor for MBDyn

IMO it should be implemented as an add-on, the GPL license does not allow to distribute it directly with FreeCAD, Yes, of course. I mean, the same way all solvers are used in FEM, they don't actually come with FreeCAD, the user has to get them separately. ... even if the implementation can be done ...

Re: Bug Report: Assembly 2 - Import a part from another FreeCAD document

That is simply your opinion. No one owner comment in what you reported here. The owner himself says so in the README.md in the repository. I already posted that. You are willingly ignoring that piece of information. Assembly workbench for FreeCAD v0.15, 0.16 and 0.17 with support for importing part...

Re: Bug Report: Assembly 2 - Import a part from another FreeCAD document

These arguments are rather poor. 1. The fact that a pull request hasn't been merged says nothing. I'm sure there are rejected pull requests in the FreeCAD repository dating back to 2018 - so what? Please stop nitpicking. It is not the fact that the pull request is old or rejected (it wasn't rejecte...
