Re: Adding elements to the document tree

... and since there's not anything like an Edit/Find menu to ferret it out by name, type, or other distinguishing characteristic, I end up on a 10-minute "treasure hunt" trying to locate it. ... View -> Panels -> Selection View. It's an entry box in which you can type. It will automatically search ...

Re: Adding elements to the document tree

That previous item probably doesn't make much sense, since I didn't have a good set of names to distinguish a Part as a component (primitive or operational result) from a "Part" as in "Create Part" from the toolbar/menu - meaning an aggregate part. If anyone has better terms to clarify that, I'd be...

Re: Bezier curve tool bug

i think we could provide two options: cubic (fixed 3rd degree), incremental degree (actual behaviour). Keep in mind that the user can always change the degree of the curve after the creation, and this will affects the segment subdivision on document recompute. I think this makes sense. The tool sho...

PS I realized that i should change the name of the topic if everyone thinks that it's acceptable like it is :)
It is not a bug, "it just works in a particular way that may be unexpected if you come from other drawing applications".

- if not, the normal direction is taken by guessing the normal direction of the underlying 2D object (sketch or whatever) using DraftGeomUtils.getNormal().
What about a tool "Re-orient Normal", which does this calculation again, in case the window or the sketch is moved?

Re: Bezier curve tool bug

Exactly: the draft bezier creation tool works with these arguments: Draft.makeBezCurve(pointslist, closed=False, placement=None, face=None, support=None,Degree=None): but the Drafttools.bezCurve just give him this: Draft.makeBezCurve(points, closed='+str(closed)+',support='+sup+') OK, I think I understa...

Re: OBJ importer error (python 3.7)

Hi, When I try to export an OBJ file (such as when uploading to Sketchfab) I get an error like: TypeError: a bytes-like object is required, not 'str' At the moment the file is being opened for writing in binary mode. Given OBJ files (as I understand it) are text files is this needed? If I change it...

Re: Bezier curve tool bug

Hello, I noticed the strange behaviour of the bezier curve tool: the user keep adding points and the tool just create a big bezier curve, instead of splitting it into several segments. ... I don't understand. Do you want to change the default behavior of the tool? Current: the Bezier curve creates ...
