Re: Challenge: Constant Velocity Joint (M. Gesik)

Hi,

This looks very very interesting, and seems to be quite an achievement! Congratulations Zolko and ppemawm! Would it be possible to include this in the FreeCAD examples, please? Section "Beyond Advanced" :D

Re: Cosmetic Thread Depiction - Ideas?

Hi, In my experience there are two types of commonly appearing cosmetic threads: Thread axis normal to the paper (appearing as circles), and thread axis lying in the paper (appearing as rectangles, which may or may not be rotated respect to the XY axes). The thing is, that at least at the moment the...

Re: Current TD limitations when exporting to PDF

I think I've never noticed any serious problems with pdf export in TechDraw, even though I consider myself quite a picky user in regards to bugs/limitations. On the top of my head, the only thing I could imagine is the subpixel hinting in the line rendering. Sometimes some pdf readers draw some line...

Re: 0.19 - crash by deleting a radius dimension

there is already a PR in the queue that should fix it. Great job, if this is really fixed permanently now! :D This one has bothered me constantly for a while when using TD, but I've been completely unable to construct a reproducible test case example in an .FCStd file, which has been rather irritat...

[FIXED] FEM: Commit 53b6821 seems to break the FreeCAD build

Hi! Commit https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/commit/53b682138ce5bfbfae31e1d94b0c2556e7a531f5 seems to break the FreeCAD build, at least for my machine. Reverting the commit seems to fix it, and the resulting binary runs. EDIT: The error is src/Mod/Fem/Gui/Command.cpp: In function ‘void CreateFemCom...

Re: Control size of Detail View border

Your workaround suggestion works brilliantly! Many thanks. You're welcome! :D There are some downsides with the clipgroup method, namely that the clipping works well for the pdf export only (not for e.g. dxf export and possibly some others), and also that you'll unfortunately lose the automatically...

Re: Control size of Detail View border

Question Is there any way of controlling the size of the border (matting ??) around a Detail View or make it transparent? The rectangular border can end up being very significant compared to the detail you are trying to highlight, such that it obscures other items e.g. the drawing template. As a wo...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

yes, it was reported, it was an App::Link bug that saved path absolute and not relative, and it's fixed now. Please use the latest v0.19 built. https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/tag/0.19_pre As a side note, you can fix your old model to use relative paths by simply loading it in its origi...
