Re: About angular dimension tolerances in TechDraw

Doing it this way is an easy change - just moving a few lines of code. I could squeeze it in within a day or two. moveTolerance.png Adding the unit to the tolerance text and/or adding formatting options is likely more involved and I'd have to find some time to do it. Let me know what you think. I w...

Re: About angular dimension tolerances in TechDraw

Also, the current TechDraw style does not bother me personally that much, because I always use bilateral angle tolerances and abuse the formatting string to include the plus-minus character and an extra degree character. There is a small error, namely the spacing before the degree character is large...

Re: About angular dimension tolerances in TechDraw

So you expected something like this? Yes, indeed. I guess the printing style depends on personal preferences, but my point is that both of the missing options are more common in the literature than the current TechDraw style, which I've actually never seen used anywhere else. In your examples, thou...

About angular dimension tolerances in TechDraw

Hi! Currently, when putting tolerances for FreeCAD TechDraw angular dimensions, TechDraw places the tolerance values between the angle value and the degree sign, which I feel is not optimal for readibility. 20200820_FreeCAD_TechDraw_Angular_Tolerance_01.png Moreover, at least this document https://e...

FC info macro from addon manager
That is a good solution, and I would recommend it and use it frequently, too. The only downside is that it does not work properly with App->Link part objects. I'm hoping that the author would update it for the 0.19 development version. :D

Re: [BUG?] TechDraw RichText becomes very small upon PDF export

should be fixed by f2a9f712e8 . It is indeed fixed, thanks! Sorry for the long delay in testing the fix, but I can finally confirm that it works as expected now. RichText stays the correct size, and the frame is displayed in the pdf, too. Perfect! :D OS: Debian GNU/Linux bullseye/sid (KDE//usr/shar...

Re: 1.7% Market Share of CAD Software

It seems to me that FreeCAD will dominate the market, just like Blender has, because FreeCAD allows one to create new design workbenches for anything. That is a powerful feature, and is not likely to be found in proprietary software. Also, the license and use are free; and more importantly, because...

[FIXED] TechDraw RichText becomes very small upon PDF export

Hi! I noticed that the pdf export (executed from the File-menu) makes the TechDraw RichText very minuscule upon export. Both the exported pdf and the FreeCAD TechDraw page view on the screen have a very small font size after the export function. However, clicking something in the tree restores the f...

Re: [regression] immediate crash on creating a new file

No crash on Linux with 0.19.22108. Unfortunately, I don't have a Windows build machine, so I can't test todays master on Win.
