Re: [BUG?] DXF export projection fails with circular holes if not in XY plane

The Import module exporter isn't that sophisticated. It takes all the Edges in the source object and translates them directly from OCC to DXF. There is no projection. The Draft module exporter projects the shapes before converting to DXF but doesn't project the shapes before calling the Import modu...

Re: [BUG?] DXF export projection fails with circular holes if not in XY plane

I think that DXF export works only in XY plane correctly, but I couldn't find it documented in the wiki. Hmm, okay. Maybe there could be an error message or something, if the user tries to export a sketch in some other plane? Currently the export proceeds, but the result fails. However, regarding t...

[BUG?] DXF export projection fails with circular holes if not in XY plane

Hi! I noticed that the any circular holes in a DXF export fail to project correctly, if the original part is in any other plane than the XY-plane (e.g., in XZ-plane). The circles are projected to the XY-plane, whereas linear segments and other shapes project to the correct plane (e.g., the XZ-plane)...

Re: [Bug?] DWG/DXF export fails with "AcDbDictionary" error

Should be fixed by 5512d5490c . At long last, today, the Windows Travis builds of v0.19 in Github reached a version 18615, which contains your commit, and I was able to test the bug fix (my Linux build system doesn't have any DWG capability, and on Windows I don't have a build system). Anyway, I ca...

Re: [Bug?] Dimensions repeat their Arbitrary labels

Now it works for me, after I compiled the very latest master. Apparently you had committed a new patch today, which solves the problem for builds larger than 18590. Thanks! :) Screenshot_20191021_004701.png OS: Debian GNU/Linux bullseye/sid (KDE//usr/share/xsessions/plasma) Word size of OS: 64-bit W...

Re: [Bug?] Dimensions repeat their Arbitrary labels

should be fixed by a1de871e93 Thanks! This indeed fixes the bug with Arbitrary labels, the word "Text" in the screenshot below with build 18567 is shown only once, as it should. However, the smaller bug with formatted labels still exists with the latest master, which has your patch. If I put a Form...

Re: Dimension drawing standardization completed

Sorry, I probably did not explain well what I mean. Sometimes it really make sense for ISO drawings to create a small gap between the piece and the extension line. My question meant: Is there a case for a single dimension, when the gap should be made between the piece and e.g. the extension line fr...

[FIXED] Dimensions repeat their Arbitrary labels

Hi! I noticed that whenever I change a dimension format to "Arbitrary" in a recent TechDraw version, the text entered into the Format Spec box repeats twice. Also, setting "Arbitrary" to false causes any other characters than the numeric value (e.g., "%g") to have no effect, i.e., only the raw numbe...

Re: [Bug?] DWG/DXF export fails with "AcDbDictionary" error

Are you using the Draft module ("legacy") exporter or the Import module ("c++" or "new") exporter? Not 100 % sure, but I think I'm using the Import module ("c++" or "new") exporter. I used PartDesign workbench, selected the part, and chose File->Export. I don't think I have the "legacy" dxf exporte...

Re: Sneak Peak - Extent Dimensions

If you select Edges, you'll get the extent of the collection of edges. If you just select the View, you'll get the extent of all the edges in the View. That sounds like a good plan to me. I think it's both intuitive, and makes it possible to do extent dimensions within smaller details of the whole ...
