[FIXED] Dimensions repeat their Arbitrary labels

Hi! I noticed that whenever I change a dimension format to "Arbitrary" in a recent TechDraw version, the text entered into the Format Spec box repeats twice. Also, setting "Arbitrary" to false causes any other characters than the numeric value (e.g., "%g") to have no effect, i.e., only the raw numbe...

Re: [Bug?] DWG/DXF export fails with "AcDbDictionary" error

Are you using the Draft module ("legacy") exporter or the Import module ("c++" or "new") exporter? Not 100 % sure, but I think I'm using the Import module ("c++" or "new") exporter. I used PartDesign workbench, selected the part, and chose File->Export. I don't think I have the "legacy" dxf exporte...

Re: Sneak Peak - Extent Dimensions

If you select Edges, you'll get the extent of the collection of edges. If you just select the View, you'll get the extent of all the edges in the View. That sounds like a good plan to me. I think it's both intuitive, and makes it possible to do extent dimensions within smaller details of the whole ...

[FIXED] DWG/DXF export fails with "AcDbDictionary" error

Hi! It seems that the DWG/DXF export of a part fails with "AcDbDictionary" error when the part gets more complicated, and apparently the dictionary somehow gets overflown. The ODA File Converter fails with the following error: OdError thrown during readFile of drawing "20191016-DWG-export-bug.dxf" :...

Re: Dimension drawing standardization completed

Why would you want dimensions on the same page to use different rules? I was thinking that sometimes it would be more clear to have the helper lines not touch the drawing with the ISO drafting also, in cases where the drawing has small details that the helper lines would clutter. Not a very good re...

Re: Sneak Peak - Extent Dimensions

Sounds good to me the way it is now, I probably won't personally need any other extrema than the horizontal and vertical options. Is the algorithm edge-based or face-based? I mean, will it be possible to just select some edges, and the algorithm shall find their common extrema; or is it based on sel...

Re: Dimension drawing standardization completed

Hi! I noticed that using the new model here, the ISO dimension lines always touch the drawing, whereas the ANSI dimension lines leave a small gap to the drawing. Would it be possible to get this small gap to the ISO dimension lines, too? At least one drafting example I found in the internet also had...

Re: Sneak Peak - Extent Dimensions

Wow, this looks great! Will extent dimensions be possible at other angles than horizontal and vertical, too (e.g., at 45° angle)? In any case, horizontal and vertical extent dimensions are probably the most important ones, and would imho be a great addition to TechDraw! :D

Re: [Bug?] FreeCAD v0.19pre crashes when using Copy in PartDesign Body

Realthunder's patch for the bug has already been committed and merged to v0.19pre master, and I had no crash on Edit->Copy, using Linux and Qt4. So it's fixed, thanks! :D OS: Debian GNU/Linux bullseye/sid (KDE//usr/share/xsessions/plasma) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version:...
