Re: Moved / buried in a header?

Dynamic scaling images is not ideal, we should rather properly dimension the image before upload... I admit I could have done that in this case. On the other hand, I'm not sure how a 600px (or smaller) image will display on a high dpi display. I hadn't thought about the hi-dpi display issue (I don'...

Re: Moved / buried in a header?

Never mind; I had multiple copies of the page loaded and one was obsolete.

Moved / buried in a header?

I was looking at the PartDesign Hole page and the PartDesign Multitransform page and noticed the multitransform page had the image shifted up to fill the whitespace below the intro. I modified the hole page to do the same. While thinking about it overnight, I wondered if the "600px" hard specificati...

If I hit reset, does it reset all settings in all categories to their defaults?
It resets the whole FreeCAD to default. It has the same effect as deleting system.cfg and user.cfg configuration files in ~/.FreeCAD.
Thanks, I've added it.

Re: Looking for some guidance

chrisb: Thanks for the pointer to the reset button; I have seen it but am reluctant to use it because it is ambiguous: If I hit reset, does it reset all settings in all categories to their defaults? Or does it only reset settings in all tabs for the currently selected category? Or does it only reset...

Looking for some guidance

While re-working my way through some of the wiki I decided I should try to fix some things when I found them. I rapidly got into questionable territory, I think, so my questions: from Kunda1: we want said changes to be: 1. accurate 2. reflect the consensus of the community 3. mindful because many pa...

Re: What's the use of Template:Emphasis

As a new user and new to this doc forum, feel free to take my comments lightly... While I agree that a pdf document is not the most useful, I strongly prefer having the text properly marked up for future enhancements / migration. I'm not familiar with what the current state of indexing is, but the s...

Re: Extrude circle at point on reference plane, replicate in array

Again, thanks for the clarifications FreeCAD 0.17 rev 13541 I've got my actual part designed at this point and ready to print; thanks for the help in that regard. In PartDesign you don't have to make a Union. PartDesign omits this step, thus making the tree view much simpler: Every additive feature ...

Re: Extrude circle at point on reference plane, replicate in array

Ugh, sorry, I knew better: using FreeCAD 0.17 rev 13541 on FreeBSD chrisb: Thanks for the clarification on the construction geometry issue. Thanks also for the how to replicate multiple objects; worked great. Also the pointer to the multi-transform; wasn't sure what that was. Also worked great. meme...

Extrude circle at point on reference plane, replicate in array

This seems like it should be simple... I need to fill an area with an array of "stepped" holes, where the outer hole goes only part way through the part, and the inner hole goes all the way through. I set a reference point on a reference plane at the top surface of the main body, then sketched and p...
