Re: Parallel Arcs Sketcher to Part Design Problem

ChrisB, that is an overlay over the picture that OP posted of his progress to show relevant tool (coincident constraint) and where to apply it. Not the actual sketch.

Re: Parallel Arcs Sketcher to Part Design Problem

For all those 0.125in constraints to be ok all your arcs centers are not constrained "COINCIDENT". The cleaner way should be that they are. You could box select the centers and apply coincident constraint to them and then have just a simple 0.125in length constraint somewhere for thickness of the sh...

Re: Drawing issues, will exporting help

Refine should remove unwanted faces by fusing coplanar faces thus removing those lines.

I would like to hear some more opinions on this matter.
Create DatumPlane from face, while creating remove reference to face. DatumPlane stays on face but is not attached to it so will not break. Create sketch on DatumPlane.

Re: FEM and multiple forces

This happens because of the way OCCT (Open Cascade Technology) kernel represents cylinders - see the seam line. So the resulting cylindrical surface is not a single face: CircularFace.PNG This is after properly fixing all faces: ProperFixedFaces.PNG You could also set Refine property of "clamp" whic...

Re: FEM and multiple forces

There is a displacement but it is very small compared to the other halve because of the way the fixed constraint is applied:

Re: FEM and multiple forces

Here is your file attached. Just drag and drop over text edit in the post. Or "Add file" from attachment tab under. I think that there is 1MB limit per file but cant find where it was mentioned.
