Re: model only visible from top view

This should go to Help subforum. You can start by reading the IMPORTANT link ot top there and providing some more info: your FreeCAD version, screenshot of the problem, file with the problem, ... By your explanation I at least have not experienced such problem. There is a clipping plane problem some...

Re: Fasteners Workbench small bolds ? (M2 for ex.)

In screw_maker.py at line 113 we have standard diameters: standard_diameters = { 'ISO4017': ('M1.6', 'M64'), # ISO 4017 Hex-head-screw 'ISO4014': ('M1.6', 'M64'), # ISO 4014 Hex-head-bolt 'EN1662': ('M5', 'M16'), # EN 1662 Hexagon bolts with flange, small series 'EN1665': ('M5', 'M20'), # EN 1665 He...

Re: Sketcher bug, says is fully constrained when it is not

Sorry, I was too quick :) I can confirm that behavior. Also the removal of horizontal constraint OR sketch becomes fully constrained. I tried with OS: Windows 8.1 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.17.13541 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: releases/FreeCAD-0-17 Hash: 99...

Re: Sketcher bug, says is fully constrained when it is not

With the speed things are progressing you should really include full version info with such posts... Also a screenshot in the buggy state would help. I tried an here sketch shows as underconstrained with 2 DOF. . Bug_sketcher_2dof.JPG . OS: Windows 8.1 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 6...

Re: Hollow out using thickness

If you are going to make something that is symmetric along an axis/plane design it that way. Draw the sketches so they are symmetric along X/Y axis.

Re: Hollow out using thickness

First, avoid mapping sketches to faces (where you select a face and then create a sketch on it). Search the forum for "topological naming issue". Second did you create Pad001 just to have a face where to map Sketch002? And later you removed that whle padding with a pocket? Juct map the sketches to b...

Re: V0.19: Gas Turbine Engine for RC Aircraft

When I have multiple features that depend on a single master sketch, I make a copy of the CarbonCopy rather than a new CarbonCopy for each feature. Perhaps that is not the best way or a bad habit? That is actually quite clever. If you have one full CarbonCopy it is easy to find it in the tree and d...

Re: sketch part up side down

Sketch has its own coordinate system which depends on its Placement property. If sketch is under a body them Placement also depends of its Attachment mode/properties. When referring to Base planes we usually mean bodies base planes (if part design is used). Those under bodies Origin property. The "t...
