Re: Any Location option of installed AddonManager workbench

Yes, because dependencies are installed under the specific FreeCAD instance. This is not a problem with workbench handling from FreeCADs side but the way that WB is implemented. If those dependencies were part of the default freecad installation there would not be a problem. If they were incorporate...

Re: DXF - 3D-Solid import

run FreeCAD with administration privileges. Here it worked even without this. In one of the files I get the following error: Importing: C:/Users/Wivern/AppData/Roaming/FreeCAD/Mod/InventorLoader/Demo-Status/Demo-Status-0.4.2.ipt created with Autodesk Inventor 2015 SP2 (Build 190223200, 223) 7: '2nd...

Re: Any Location option of installed AddonManager workbench

the other version fc may show an error message at start saying some files missing. I use the latest local compiled version, sometimes some more recent LP and Conda builds, rarely Realthunders asm3 build, sometimes 0.18.4 and even 0.17 All with the same set of a lot of installed workbenches and conf...

Re: Need to design mixing valve (pay to forum or members)

Can we determine the width of the "nub" on the end and increase the grove diameter by the same amount? Not sure what exactly do you have in mind. Could you mark it over the image? It sounds like you want to remove those little protrusions? they are formed by the intersections of the cuts. Maybe jus...

Re: *Part* mirror - *PartDesign* feature - *PartDesign* modify both PD bodies

Sorry, I meant why are three bodies required? Because you did not mention it and I did not notice with the short glance on your file - the modification of the Body002 TIP :) PartDesign_MoveTip And later @M4x will ask why the modifications are not there in the exported STL since the BODY was selecte...

Re: *Part* mirror - *PartDesign* feature - *PartDesign* modify both PD bodies

what is the basis for this? The red arrow? The warning "Links go out of allowed scope"? Multiple mensions "you should not do that" in the forum? It is not forbidden by the program but is strongly discouraged. I dont think that it should not work. I really like that it does. But especially for begin...

Re: Problems creating thread

You have selected the features for the cut but should have selected the bodies. In your file the offset of 7mm in Z direction of Body002 is lost because Pad003 feature is at Z=0 in the Body002 Local coordinate system and treated as such by the cut.

Re: Cannot create a center hole

And for the four axes you need just two sketches (or one and a polar pattern). The final hole will remove the central crossing.
