Re: Subfolder for Python modules

No we now decided to go for:

Code: Select all

from FreeCAD import Fem.module
This should work with current master.

Re: ana(conda) windows packaging

There are two versions installed with conda (tk8.6 with the python interpreter and tk8.5 because it's a dependency of netgen). So I first thought this could be the problem. But this is also working for the occt recipe. There also both 85 and 8.6 are installed in the build enviroment. The netgen reci...

Re: Subfolder for Python modules

Do you mean something like import DraftTools,DraftGui,Arch_rc,Arch,Draft_rc? exactly. I am just wondering what the benefit from your method is. All in all I think it's aiming at the same thing. The biggest benefit from your method is the possibility to have extensions anywhere. This is great as 3rd...

Re: Subfolder for Python modules

this is looking promising. I have some questions: - Does the imports work like before? (inside the packages) - How would you deal with shared libraries? Currently we would add the dirs containing python packages to the FreeCAD.so (__path__ of that modul). Would this be possible with pkgutil? - Does ...

Re: ana(conda) windows packaging

Busted! blame on me. I had no windows running for 6 years + I am used to python. I was quite happy this was solved easyly. next one is netgen. But also with netgen I encounter problem. I think we had this problem already with tk/tcl, but I can't remember how we solved that. @peterl94 maybe you reme...

Re: ana(conda) windows packaging

I think my problem with pivy is related to swig (version 3.0.11):

Code: Select all

pivy\coin_wrap.cpp(6969): error C2065: "and": nichtdeklarierter Bezeichner
Is "and" supported for newer vs-versions?

ps.: It was my fault. I have introduced the and to my pivy fork some time ago ...

ana(conda) windows packaging

I start this as a new topic, as the anaconda-topic is too long already. I will use this first post as a TODO-LIST. So everyone can follow the process. [x] occt (conda-forge) [x] coin (locally build and uploaded to the the freecad org at anaconda.org) [x] pivy (locally build and uploaded to the the f...

Re: Welder looking to be more efficient using FreeCAD

thanks for the feedback. Actually there were some things that never worked (sweeping / extending / ...) So this is not ready for sure. Also I belive part-design will come up with something better... Readme is updated. Hopefully this helps a bit. Why you never created an issue on github, as you have ...

Re: Subfolder for Python modules

Seems I haven't understand this fully: I am testing with this structure: ~/Schreibtisch/test-package: |-__init__.py |-freecad |-__init__.py now doing this: >>> import sys, pkgutil >>> sys.path.append("~/Schreibtisch") >>> pkgutil.extend_path([], "freecad") [] doesn't find the module extension... reg...
