Re: Has Anyone successfully connected to FC thru Jupyter ?

Has Anyone successfully connected to FC thru Jupyter ? If yes, could you share the procedure. I tried using the module at: https://github.com/looooo/jupyter_freecad_kernel without success. thanks Rand This was only a test but as freecad uses python we do not need to write an own kernel. Easiest way...

While theoretical such user names should work, it's better to avoid special characters for the username. I guess one day this will work, but this is not tomorrow ;)

Re: microsoft buys github

Come on guys, really give the blame where it is due, as much as I like to hate MS, it's government restrictions, sanctions ...it's the law. There is not much they can do about it. For sure you are right. But does it matter if I blame an us dependent company or us governant directly? I guess by doin...

Re: microsoft buys github

Would be nice to see a lot of stars here:
https://github.com/1995parham/github-do-not-ban-us

This is a clear sign from microsoft telling us why we can not trust them.

Re: Install missing module in FreeCAD

I think pip.main is deprecated and shouldn't be used. Better to use subprocess.

Code: Select all

import subprocess
subprocess.Popen(["pip", "install", "serial"], stderr=subprocess.PIPE, stdout=subprocess.PIPE)
If this solves your issue, I don't know.

Re: The download for Mac users fails to work

I tend to replace the 0.18 version with a current 0.19 version. +1 as already said somewhere else backporting is too much work to get Qtwebengine support into 0.18. So choosing one of the recent 0.19 builds makes sense to me. Only thing missing is the documentation. But are offline docs really nece...

Still not giving up :D
Maybe this is a hint?

In theory compiling with netgen doesn't need pybind11. But I have never tested it.

Re: PieMenu-like clone - quickly access a different workbench via popup

I guess the piemenue from @triplus does exactly this:
https://github.com/triplus/PieMenu

What didn't happen until now is a proposal for a tight integration into freecad. But as the pie menue is heavily dependent on qt/pyside, I am not sure if it's a good idea to integrate it into freecad source.

Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1
Can you change the topic title to:
"invalid magic cookies on tumble weed" ;)

I guess it's a hidden message from open suse devs.

Re: FreeCAD/FreeCAD-App-Image

Done https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Download https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/tag/0.18.3 Great, thanks! Do you want me to add a note to the release page that 0.19_dev is preferred on OSX due to the QT5.9 improvements? This would be nice. Mac with qt5.6 was reported to be not very usable...
