Re: FCGear issue won't show up

I updated the master-branch of freecad.gears. The workbench now assumes a few things which are not included in all releases. This is related to namespace-packages. It should be possible to restore backward-compatibility by adding a freecad/__init__.py file with the following content: __path__ = __im...

Re: FreeCAD 0.19 AppImage

great! Now we can bundle everything in the appimage :D Btw. we shoud talk about how to handle the releases. I would like to switch from the multiple directory workflow to a multiple branches workflow. So once 0.19 is released, we create a 0.19 branch and edit the scripts to use 0.19 (release) builds...

Re: [Help wanted] FreeCAD in web browser project. Its not Onshape! And its working.

I am not familiar with jupyter notebook. Dose it have any interface for running dockerized applications? It's possible to run a jupyter-notebook-server from docker. The notebook (gui in browser) allows to send python code to the server which gets evaluated with the python-interpreter and sends back...

Wow, this works suprisingly nice.

Would it be possible to render only the 3d scene in a jupyter notebook using the same technics?

Re: Licensing the bundles (appimage/dmg)

an AppImage is clearly an executable, not an aggregate work. After downloading an AppImage, I have to set the "executable" permission and then I run it directly. To me this makes sense. If we see the appimage as a meta-package that gathers a punch of libraries with different licenses we need to lic...

Re: testing modifications of Asm3

But I will update the asm3 package which is shipped with the appimage once a week (every sunday, or more often if I see important commits). So the mentioned commit should be available soon. Just for information, has the Asm3 License issue been solved, to allow the Asm3 package to be shipped with Fr...

Re: testing modifications of Asm3

Here is the situation: now that we have asm3 included in conda appimage, I began to test this awesome assembly workbench. Now I detected what I think to be a regression python2->python3. There is currently no way to "overwrite" an included 3rd-party module of the appimage. But I will update the asm...

Re: Steal the plugins system from QGIS for the macro loader

@looo introduced PIP tools and we came to the same conclusions, as the QGIS people. But still, I vote to use python packaging standards for distributing addons. In the long run, I guess conda and pypi will merge and we will be able to distribute everything via pypi (like we currently do with conda)...

Can I do something to narrow this down?
[/quote

Maybe trying to reproduce the error directly with a conda-environment (not the bundle).

@chrisb is asking if this would change something about how the SSL is handled... it seems client certificates don't encipt data...
No encryption of data takes place in case of Client certificates.
And this s a problem?
