[TechDraw] scaling questions

I am currently learning TechDraw but stumble over a simple beginner task: scaling The milling factory expects from me drawings were the scaling is clearly defined. Assuming I have a rather small part, I need a scaling of 3 times the actual size. So I 1. create a new page and set its scale to '3.00' ...

The stable builds shouldn't have revision numbers, IMO.
:+1: from me too.

Re: Mesh appeareance issue in FC 0.19

The meshing function should not ignore the user-defined value inside the preferences. When I set this angle to 0 deg (i.e. switch off Phong shading) then the meshing function should not hard-code a value of 25 deg because this is confusing behaviour. Sure! I meant to set 25° as default and the user...

Re: Mesh appeareance issue in FC 0.19

In v0.18 and older the crease angle always was set to 25.0 deg when using the shape-to-mesh function independent of the user preferences Thanks, I understand. But since Phong shading and 25° was the default for a long time now, wouldn't it be OK to use Phong shading and 25° also in future as defaul...

It might me cosmetic, but maybe there is a visualization issue. Maybe in 0.18 it was too smooth and now it is correct?
Werner, what do you think?

Re: path WB: regression in FC 0.19

I cannot test a Conda build because all downloads from GitHub are today super slow and sooner or later terminated. (Seems amazonaws.com has problems.) I got it now: OS: Windows 10 (10.0) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.19.18640 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: maste...

Re: path WB: regression in FC 0.19

works for - certainly no help for you though. Given the error you're getting it sounds more like PySide / Qt issue. Maybe our build experts have some insight. The 0.19.18234 build is one I downloaded from GitHub , the 0.19.18638 build was built by myself. Both used the LibPack available in the 0.19...

Mesh appeareance issue in FC 0.19

I noticed that since a few days the meshes in FC 0.19 created using the Mesh WB look different than in FC 0.18. Here is a testfile: Mesh-test.FCStd It contains 2 meshes, the "Fillet (Meshed)" was created with FC 0.18, the "Body (Meshed)" with today's FC 0.19. In both cases the creation parameters we...

Re: path WB: regression in FC 0.19

As you cannot reproduce it with rev 0.19.18589 The issue must have been introduced recently between this revision and rev 0.19.18638. This is not true, because when trying with OS: Windows 10 (10.0) Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.19.18234 (Git) Build type: Release B...

It still works with the version below. Can you try to reset your settings?
...
Version: 0.19.18589 (Git)
I did so but the problem persists. As you cannot reproduce it with rev 0.19.18589 The issue must have been introduced recently between this revision and rev 0.19.18638.
