I have inspected your first code to create a folded object. This program can already become animatable. ;)

collision detection and proximity sensors

To simulate gearing systems can be done by complex formulas but also by proximity and collision constraints. this is the more intuitive way. For example the geneva gear can be animated with a log of mathematics but this is not the fine art http://youtu.be/AR7DLJirgzU?list=UUCib1JNq8jBetkakjRclz2w th...

Re: Animated 3D models of Steam Engines

Influenced from this model I have extended and improved the functionality of my plugger object. The example video demonstrates the new functionalities http://youtu.be/j8d2GFEPAo8 The animation is controled by a sketch. The adjustor object changes the value of a angle constraint inside the sketch whi...

Re: Animated 3D models of Steam Engines

Very nice animation

I had the problem to access the inner data of the sketch

This is the solution and a big step forward
# Extract GeomLineSegment objects from Sketch
skCrankOtoB = sketch.Geometry[0]
I will change my Plugger object with this detail
Thank you.
