Re: Start Points and order in face based toolpaths

After getting my base toolpath figured out and wanted to create what i knew as microjoints > holding tabs something struck me while thinking how to get engagement points. We're almost there including the Gui: Try adding holding tags up to safe height ... Hey, there's a G0 :D Screenshot from 2019-03-...

Re: Start Points and order in face based toolpaths

Not sure if there's a naming standard in FC. Entry point would be the start of the engagement, and the engagement would be part between rapids then? For the current deburr toolpath like to set them algorithmically, first for all entry points. Having a select option between: start, center or end, for...

Re: Start Points and order in face based toolpaths

e PR thread, and the PR itself. Both Closed The Deburr toolpath creates the desired profile with some "magic" tool and deburr settings Still haven't figured out why the face based on seems to start on a "random" point . Also ability to delete a single cut , set a cut to be last and leadinout would b...

Re: PR: #2009 BeamCut Toolpath

Thanks for contributing..........Is there a reason you implemented an entirely new op rather than fixing Profile? Yes, this was actually just me learning the FC Code and getting into the development process. Just trying to put all the wiki and forum info together. This PR was mostly meant to figure...

Re: PR: #2009 BeamCut Toolpath

Please Put on Hold Thanks. Interesting. This is mod PathDeburr.py I am not work now with plasma or laser. # Qt tanslation #//Need R! Why you hold "Depth" in code? This is indeed based on PathDeburr, only there was no way i could get it to behave like needed. So i created this. Depth is in there for ...

Re: Where to insert code to issue G4 command after spindle start?

Thanks for explaining,
It doesn't animate chips flying, coolant turning on and off
was clear, No spindle commands wasn't because i thought the ToolController was tied in

PR: #2009 BeamCut Toolpath

To make life easier while creating toolpath's for laser, plasma or waterjets, in 3 steps Beamcut is added under the engrave menu. Select Beamcut from the Engrave Menu: Screenshot from 2019-03-09 22-37-10.png Select the top face: Screenshot from 2019-03-09 22-37-20.png Set extra offset and toolcompen...

Re: Where to insert code to issue G4 command after spindle start?

Correct, that's why i suggested a dressup earlier, to catch these moments of starting and ending of a cut. Which technically ain't the correct procedure either. So in my opinion the key point here remains that the spindle should start / change speed with the beginning of the operation and not with t...

Re: Where to insert code to issue G4 command after spindle start?

I think 2d cutting with plasma, laser, waterjet or knifes are so different in nature from milling, that it would be hard to cover them in the same simulation. Sorry, got a little sidetracked from the original topic. Should this be a seperate thread? It has one. Al tough ie Plasma, water jet can cut...

Re: Where to insert code to issue G4 command after spindle start?

A dressup is for machine independent path manipulations. All of this belongs into a post processor, not the TC or a dressup. Clear, still fairly new to Freecad. Only where does simulation fit in? According to the wiki its job>path>verify>simulate>post should i do a other simulate after postprocessi...
