Re: PPA problem updating to Release of 0.18

Is freecad-python3 installed? As far as I know, the freecad metapackage depends on either freecad-python2 or freecad-python3, maybe if freecad-python2 is found, the freecad-python3 package isn't installed? Setting the default to Python 3 just means new users running sudo apt install freecad will hi...

Re: Carve a hole in a wall

Well, depends on your definition of "parametric" Sorry for not been so clear about it. When I say parametric I am thinking about ways to constrain things in the way you do in a sketch when you build an object using part design. That way, a change in one parameter reflects in all it's other correlat...

Re: PPA problem updating to Release of 0.18

after removing freecad and freecad-common, it seems that now we don't have problems on the installation but python 2 is still been used as default: $ sudo apt install freecad Lendo listas de pacotes... Pronto Construindo árvore de dependências Lendo informação de estado... Pronto The following addit...

Re: PPA problem updating to Release of 0.18

It seems that freecad-common is conflicting with freecad-python2. I will try to remove freecad and install it again.

Re: Release of 0.18

I just updated the 0.18.1 packaging for Debian and uploaded it, then merged those changes into the PPA branches, synced the mirrored Launchpad repo, and triggered 0.18.1 builds for the stable PPA on 16.04, 18.04, 18.10, and 19.04. Took about 10 minutes! I'm glad I finally got the packaging repo uni...

Re: Carve a hole in a wall

@paullee Thank for your explanation!! By reading it and looking at the pictures I was able to reproduce it and it worked as you've told. That solution is the closest to what I had in mind. By doing it this way I'm able to change the parameters of the sketch and after recomputing the drawing to have ...

Re: Carve a hole in a wall

BTW, search the forum, there have been some discussions. I have already done so but found nothing really util. BTW. I was able to carve this hole by: - Creating a sketch attached to one side of the wall and drawing a constrained square - Changing to Part Design, creating a body and placing the sket...
