Potem wygaś Ben002 i przywróć Pocket. Wideo https://drive.g...

converting G-code on PC and streaming discrete steps to AVR with some buffering. In this video I'm sending the steps and direction directly (but without buffering) from a script that reads shape topology and transforms it to machine steps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InJrinMZe4A That's basicall...

Re: NiCr: CNC Hot Wire Cutter

The only thing that keeps it from working perfectly are the delays between instructions, but seems easy to solve. I started thinking about converting G-code on PC and streaming discrete steps to AVR with some buffering. I haven't tested this method yet, but I will when I'll finish my micro-CNC prot...

Re: NiCr: CNC Hot Wire Cutter

Whoa! This thing is huge!

If I understood well, an G-Code like code is generated in FreeCAD and interpreted by AVR? Can you share some info about buffering commands? Are you sending commands in packets, or full code before staring the cutter?

An alternate way for Linux users:
OpenHMD
python-rift

Blogpost about using python-rift in Blender

OpenHMD/python-rift supports rotational but does not support positional tracking, since it is proprietary. Reverse engineering the Rift positional tracking

That's not a problem at all on modern hardware. But it can cause another issue, I think - error can accumulate due limited float/double precision and huge number of elements. Anyway, it was just a test case with default mesher setup.
