Re: Link Placement to LCS with Expression Engine

4years on FreeCAD and finally my first working Script (yes, I'm too lazy to continue to do redundant things) import FreeCAD doc=App.activeDocument() sel = FreeCADGui.Selection.getSelection() Source=sel[0] ToBeMove=sel[1] Expx = Source.Label+ '.Placement.Base.x' Expy = Source.Label+ '.Placement.Base....

Re: Link Placement via Expression engine in a macro

So, Even If I ask, I try ;) base on the fact that recording a macro give me this kind of code to set an expression : App.getDocument('testMacro).Part.setExpression('Placement.Base.x', u'LCS.Placement.Base.x') I tought that I just need to replace LCS by a variable, that match the LCS selected So, I t...

Link Placement to LCS with Expression Engine

Hi all, And happy new year! I'm in the middle of a design where I use LCS feature ( see here ) and I'm linking body or part placement to some LCS via the expression engine. in the below snapshot, placement of SoothPulley is link to the LCS_Pulley. LCS_ExpressionEngine.png I'm doing it manually today...

Re: Collaborative CAD platform

what is the Error 500? Something went wrong during the conversion from FCSTD format to JSON (for three.js) format. Some case that I did not anticipate...I will investigate. don't investigate too much. I guess this is because this is the "assembly file ' aka a simple container, so there is no brep i...

Re: Users feedback about FC

Do you guys believe it would be nice to make a poll to distribute among users in order....... What do you guys think? hello. you can have a look ro this poll https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=30542 nothing scientific, but kind of intereting. users profile is not here so it is more an...

Re: Assembly3 - [proposal] - Constraint grouping

It should be auto synchronized. Could you please try it a bit more. It will be better if you can find a sequence of operations that cause it to be out of sync. So. Shame on me. indeed it is synchronized. the only use case where it is not, is when the solver fail to solve the constraint equation. Ho...

Re: Assembly3 - [proposal] - Constraint grouping

Hi, Sorry to forgot to talk about this feature. Of course I saw it, and used it, but not a lot, as it is not dynamically updated when adding a new constraint you always need to delete it and re-make it. Indeed the idea is to get it directly in the constraint group, and looking at NX solution, maybe ...

Assembly3 - [proposal] - Constraint grouping

Hi all, ping So, first of all thanks again for the ASM3, that is an impressive work... and it work great! As explain in a previous post , I wanted to share an idea about the UI of assembly3. I didn't put it in the open discussion assuming that there is maybe not a lot of users of Assembly3, and I do...

Using github issue for bug report is easier to track. Feature request in forum is better, because it can get more feedbacks from other users.

BTW, I have also fixed the problem you mentioned in the other post.
Awesome :!:
Thanks a lot.
can't wait for the new version now ;)
