Hello, I am a recent user of FreeCAD under Linux, and I am very impressed about it. Congratulations to the developers team, really... very useful. I wonder if there is a product data management (PDM) program in open source that would help me to manage the different FreeCAD files (.FCStd) created fo...

Re: How to Trim two Surfaces and apply a Edge Fillet

To create a solid out of Faces, in the Curves workbench you can find the green box icon in menu bar. One more trick, If one of this feature fail, try OpenSCAD workbench to increase tolerance, maybe to 0,001mm. In so many cases that helped me so very much. Great to have such a powerful Freecad 0.18!...

Re: [SOLVED] How to set tolerance on Part Cut/Fuse operations

Are you saying "don't try to solve such tolerance oriented problems by trying to reduce the error, use fuzzy operators"? That would fit into my case, though. Well it looks like it fits your initial question about why there is a littl surface left after boolean operation. I guess using a fuzzy optio...

Re: [SOLVED] How to set tolerance on Part Cut/Fuse operations

Since you are dealing with imported shapes Actually I'm facing this problem with the parts I've drawn by myself. I know the lengths are equal, but their placements might not be somewhat accurate, so they are not subtracted "correctly" (as I expected) I guess this is more a tangency problem than a p...

Re: LibreCad To FreeCad importing tool

Hi there, I had plenty of LibreCad DXFs to import so I made a lil python script to convert them to FreeCAD sketches. The process creates an individual sketch for each layer present in the DXF and attempts to create basic constraints between the entities in order to directly obtain closed shapes. He...

Re: WIP - Graber I3 updated to A3

Hi @nemesis. It would be great if you could share your opinion on how Assembly 2 / Assembly 3 experience ended up being. That is doing the same project in both of them. Well, not a bad Idea ;) let's tlk first about assembly2. pros of assembly2 : quick to understand quick to use and to get an assemb...
